At long last! After a couple months of working on these scenes I’ll finally, FINALLY be able to piece them together soon! I’m already doing my final animated render, and tomorrow I’ll do one final still shot. Then it’ll be time to finally piece this ridiculous jigsaw puzzle of a video together! While I’m working on those I’ll see about getting some voice recording done for the intro/outro, whether it be from my mouth or someone else.
Batman
Arkham Knight is unfixable according to Warner Bros
Arkham Knight is still getting negative reviews, to the point of Warner Bros stepping up to say something.
We are very sorry that many of our customers continue to be unhappy with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. We worked hard to get the game to live up to the standard you deserve but understand that many of you are still experiencing issues.
Until the end of 2015, we will be offering a full refund on Batman: Arkham Knight PC, regardless of how long you have played the product. You can also return the Season Pass along with the main game (but not separately). For those of you that hold onto the game, we are going to continue to address the issues that we can fix and talk to you about the issues that we cannot fix.
Thank you,
Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment
EDIT BY VALVE: For users who were having trouble submitting a refund for the game purchased on Steam, please try your refund submission again. The issue should have now been resolved.
Once again Warner Bros have thrown their hands in the air like they just don’t care, because really, they don’t care. This is a second failure for them this year if you count the PS3/XBox 360 version of the new Mortal Kombat not being released as promised.
Still this is pretty suckish. They wanted to deliver a AAA performance of their game by having only 12 people port it to PC, and they were warned over and over again that the game wasn’t going to be ready for release yet wanted to go along with it anyway… yeah, they really went all out alright.
Arkham Knight is back! Sadly not for the better.
I heard that Arkham Knight made a triumphant return on Steam, and I figured by a couple of the reviews I saw on my friends status list things may have improved… apparently not. Negative reviews are still popping up like unwanted hemorrhoids, some out of spite and some with good reasoning.
For example if you’re running SLi or Crossfire there is a good chance that you won’t be too fond of the performance. However, some are saying that if you have Windows 10 with 12 GB of RAM the game will play butter smooth. Meanwhile on Windows 7 if you run into any stuttering the best solution is to restart the game every time it happens. >:(
I also had a good laugh when I read this:
Batman™: Arkham Knight coming to Mac and Linux in Spring 2016
If the optimization is as awesome as it is under windows then maybe they’ll market the game as an OpenGL slideshow… No, that would be too honest.
The new Batman isn’t really loved on PC right now.
The release of Arkham Knight is all kinds of fucked up right now. It was ported to PC by 12 people.
According to Batman: Arkham Knight’s credits, it appears Iron Galaxy Studios only had 12 of its employees working on the PC port of the game. Considering how ambitious of a game Arkham Knight is, having just 12 people working on the game seems a bit on the small side if you ask us. And after experiencing the many issues the PC version of Arkham Knight has, as well as reading complaints from a wide variety of Steam users, we have a feeling this amount of people just wasn’t enough to provide the kind of product customers expected.
That would explain why it’s so poorly optimized. Hell even the console version has ambient occlusion and other features built into it. This is a Batman title, a popular title that would obviously generate a shit ton of money, as have the previous games. Why would you hire a team the size of an indie to tackle this?
Update
Forgot to mention that Arkham Knight has been taken off Steam (or rather the ability to purchase it). Probably due to all the negativity, and the fact that you can get refunds now. 😛
