We decided to check out Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 for a little couch co-op session!
Vibrant Gaming Thread
I actually jumped around between a couple of games tonight! I started with The Game Of Life just to see how the digital version works. I’m thinking of getting a few together to play a couch co-op session, assuming we all have good internets. It was nice to get a good practice run in, it’ll help prepare me for a future session!
Then I finished off the rest of the evening with some Ex-Zodiac! I finally found one of the missing data chips and made it to Level 3 security access! This one took a few tries to even get to the end boss battle, it was pretty brutal. When I did finally make it to the end though I was rewarded with an A Rank…
Of course, it wasn’t all fun and games. I did sift through some video footage for anything with potential, and instead deleted a little over an hours worth of footage that won’t really serve me anything. Freed up plenty of time to unwind with some tea and a little more gaming than usual. I’m thinking of looking over some of the footage for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, haven’t touched that in awhile.
Ending My Evening In The Outland
Other than last night’s Baldur’s Gate 3 session I’ve mostly been gaming on the Steam Deck this weekend. Yesterday I stayed warm in bed and played a bit of Metal Gear Solid, and tonight I returned to Outland! It’s been awhile since I’ve touched this one, but I made up for it by finishing a couple boss battles and even gaining the ability to charge into things. I still need to obtain the launch pad feature. Once I do that I’ll backtrack and see what I’ve missed.
First Breakfast Curry Of 2024!
The original plan was to make a cashew nut curry for my weekend breakfast, but our neighbors bamboozled us with some english muffins! So I decided to poach a couple of eggs with a homemade red curry sauce, added feta to garnish it. Then today I took the leftover sauce and had it over a goat cheese stuffed omelette, then topped it with a mix of olives and roasted red bell pepper. I would have taken a pic, but I couldn’t stop myself from eating it! Maybe next time!
The Inevitable Weekend BG3 Post
Played a little bit of BG3 tonight, didn’t make it too far but we did learn some new strategies. It was a small break from the video… I’m almost done working on it – keep running into the occasional hitch, but I’m getting through it. Gonna finish the credits, then I’ll finally be able to export it! Then sleepy time.
Keeper Of The Shovel
I haven’t posted much about it, but I’ve been animating away every night! Bit by bit I’ve been bouncing between two different projects, and tonight one of them finally won! I completed all of the animation, just need to do the final exports! Then I can begin on stitching it all together. If all goes according to plan I’ll release it next week! w00t!
Taste That Rainbow!
The copious amounts of film noir rainy weather have been putting me in a mood for more colorful games, and it doesn’t get much juicier than the Spyro games. I played more Year Of The Dragon, and funny enough we’re actually in the year of the Dragon! I might have to play more games involving Dragons as a kind of a personal side-quest for myself.
I cleared a couple levels, found all the gems, spheres and completed some basic puzzles. They’re pretty simplistic, but then again this is a revamped kids game from the 90’s. I’m only playing through it because the original games were never available where I lived growing up. My only childhood memories of Spyro involved the first levels of the original Spyro game on a Pizza Hut demo disc. It’s kinda funny telling younger gamers today about those old times about ordering pizza and getting demos, fun times.
With my weekend on the rise I’ll probably kick it off with something a little more adult, something to sleep on anyway. I only have a few hundred ideas to choose from. :v
GO TOWARDS THE LIGHT
There was a severe lack of sun in my life today, and what little of it was witnessed lacked any warmth. So it only made sense for me to chase a fictitious sun, with no other reward other than a couple achievements and some computer generated warmth. I also played a bit on Steam Deck while doing a couple more SFM renders. One of these nights I’ll have to check out the Steam Workshop, they have quite a few custom maps to choose from! But like many other games in my collection, it will have to wait another day. Gotta keep a healthy rotation!
Giving My Steam Deck Some Love
Got to spend some quality time with my Steam Deck today! During lunch I progressed a little further into Grim Fandango Remastered, and managed to snag a few achievements by accident. It was a refreshing 20 minutes before returning to reality.
Then later on this evening I had an SFM render going on my main desktop, which left me with more alone time to fondle my deck. 🙂 This time I decided to revisit Cuphead, after abandoning it a couple years ago for other worlds in my library. It took a lot of slamming my head against the wall, but I did clear 3 levels, and even splurged on a couple of character upgrades! I’m pretty proud, in fact I’m proud enough to take a break and move onto something else. 😛 I might return to Race The Sun tomorrow. That one also runs real nicely on Steam Deck!
I Walk Amid The Evils Of The Black Labyrinth
It’s been over a month since I’ve continued my trials in The Black Labyrinth, but the time away didn’t slow me down any! I made it through The Hole, and at the start of the next level! It was fun climbing giant swords, and as usual I made sure all enemies were slain… now I just need to to a future playthrough to find all the secrets. 😛 More pics can be found over at Masto.
