Last night I decided to give Neva a try on my Steam Deck. It’s an indie sidescroller made by the same team behind Gris. Neva tells the tale of a young wolf cub with antlers named Neva, who a young woman named Alba cares for after losing Neva’s guardian after a battle with darkness. You play through four different seasons, starting with Summer. Each area is two parts. You have the option of playing Story Mode, for those who just want to enjoy the story. Then you have a more classic Adventure Mode where dying is possible, though so far it hasn’t been too difficult to play. The visuals and the atmospheric music were a great way to end a late evening. 🙂 If I finish this I might have to check out Gris! I’ve heard about it but never had much of a reason to look for it, given I have so much to climb on Mt. Backlog as it is…
