Even after updating to Fedora 15 I STILL get the same fucking error when trying to launch L4D2.
Server will auto-restart if there is a crash.
./srcds_run: line 357: 2375 Illegal instruction (core dumped) $HL_CMD
Add “-debug” to the ./srcds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help with solving this problem

If they dropped support for my server I’m gonna fucking rage.
Mine was working fine until the last update. Now I am getting same error as you. Reinstalling from scratch did not help.
That doesn’t work for me, nor does doing a verify_all. I’ve asked around at Steam and Allied modders but so far the only suggestion is verifying my files… I have one more trick to try.
Also. What hardware are you running your server on? I’m curious to know if it supports SSE3 or SSE2 and down.
