Games of Past and Present

Games of Past and Present

Over the weekend I decided to take a small break from blogging. There was a lot of rest and play after a long week – last night we did some world exploration in Resonite, and today I chilled on the couch and played a couple of games during some rainy weather. I’ve been exploring Cauldron Kappa. Of all the cauldrons I’ve explored this one is very unique; unlike the other cauldrons, Kappa is flooded with water. You have to raise and lower the water in order to advance – it actually reminded me of the Cistern level in Tomb Raider, only more futuristic.

Then I took a break from being a Playstation gamer and traveled back in time to the GBA era to check out Julius Mode in Aria of Sorrow. As fun as it was fun to play as Soma, it’s great to play as a Belmont again! One of the things I like about Julius mode is that he already comes prepared with an assortment of sub-weapons that in previous games could only be obtained individually throughout the game. Already defeated a couple of bosses without issue.

It will be awhile before I beat it though… I still want to pace myself after just finishing the game last week. Starting next month I’ll be prioritizing games that are Spooky for October. Maybe then I can rampage my way through! 😛
