Awhile back I wrote about Garrysmod and how evil it is because it’s an Open Source program that anyone can play god with. Well… I took the time to go into it and make a picture so vile that it’ll prove that we shouldn’t have tools like these for any game.

Garry's Mod isn't open-source. The source code isn't available; only the application is (and it's not free either).

Garrysmod exists because Valve made all their games Open Source (I blogged about that awhile back). I never said Garrysmod IS Open Source. Nor did I say it was free.But I will applaud you for taking the time to come all the way over here to state the obvious. Really, good job! Pat yourself on the back because you deserve it!

rofl! OMG I've never seen anyone do that to Dennis before, ha! Ok, I don't think open source is evil, but, like anything, it can be used for evil. I absolutely agree this picture, and the ability to do stuff like that on any game, is truly evil. yuck.

Well, Valve's games aren't open source either. There's no way you can get source code for Valve's games; they only provide an SDK.

Also, I'm not sure what you're you're talking about when you say Valve released all their games as Open Source. The source code for HL2 got stolen back in 2003, but it was never released intentionally, or under any open-source licence. I should have said because Valve's HL2 source code got out on the internet it made programs like garrysmod come into being, giving the player the ability to play god. And that is still unspeakable evil that must be spoken of.
