Today was an online shopping kind of day, something you can’t avoid when living in a rural area. I wanted to restock on two of my favorite cherry blossom teas from Japan, but thanks to Hair Furor and his freedom tariffs I probably won’t be for awhile. When I last bought them they were twelve dollars, and now they’re $21 even before shipping makes it into the equation. I did a lot of business with Japanese snack items too, which now also suffer from tariffs.
I miss the days where the Japanese and US currencies were on par with each other, it made buying their goods not much different than buying any of ours. Which worked out well considering they make A LOT of stuff that we either don’t or lack the ability to… seems like it was only last year.
Oh wait! It fucking was…
