We All Begin Anew Once More

Played the original Borderlands tonight with a friend. I forgot how annoying the old UI is, how normal the bandits are compared to the later games, the lack of NPC dialogue, and how you have to get out of your car to collect loot. The framerate was stuck at 62FPS until I fixed it with some tips I found at the PCGamingWiki Now it’ll be butter smooth the next time I play! We’ve managed to finish Borderlands 2 + DLC (not counting playing as other classes and finishing annoying quests), so it only made sense to go back in time to hopefully work on finishing the original. Preferably sometime this decade!

Steam Deck Game Of The Day: TRINE!

Today I had some spare time during my lunch break to play a bit of Trine on Steam Deck! It keeps a steady frame rate even when you bump up the eye candy! I came pretty close to finishing it on my last playthrough, but decided to start again to see how it performs on Deck, and to get more familiar with the control scheme. If you like a mix of hack n slash, physics puzzles and magic I recommend it. You can also co-op with it with up to 3 people! Great for couch sessions with buds!

Needed someone to drive the forklift, and this one meets the proper criteria! I’m not sure what that might be, but he definitely qualifies.

This evening was spent putting this Pyro together. Lots of time went into it just for a couple seconds of screen time.Ugh, time consuming…. and yet surprisingly fun!

Project Status: Code Purple

Today was definitely a “Drink chai and work under a blanket” kind of day. Fortunately, my kind of animation warms both my heart and the entire house. I’m currently 8 seconds in to the current scene, and taking it all one day at a time until the end of the year.

But now… I’ve arrived at the end of my weekend of chill and solitary. It was nice to get a good couple days of happy time, the bare minimum I need to keep half sane.

All In A Day’s Rest

After a long week I made today an official self care day. Complete with a self spa day, premium teas, a good breakfast sandvich, and some holiday shopping! I even renovated some old jeans of mine, well, turned them into shorts. Also played a bit of Yakuza 0! It helps keep my hands warm. 😛 Speaking of keeping warm – I’ve got a little more SFM rendering done! I still don’t know if I’ll finish it before the new year, but I’m trying my best!

It was nice to take a bit of a break today, but I’ll probably tear back into it tomorrow… after more holiday shopping. :v
