The Mind Of OverlordTomala

Okami Brings Sunshine To My Sunday

Another rainy day, another excuse to enjoy warm tea and games to keep me warm. I’m even finishing the evening with some sake flavoured with cherry blossom syrup. There was also more tea, and finishing off the last of the mochi. I made quite a bit more progress in Okami too!

I think I’m charged up enough to move onto something else tomorrow, now that I have a clear enough mind.

A Weekend In Bloom

Was feeling in a bit of a zen mood tonight, and Okami was the aesthetic I was looking for to add a splash of colour to an otherwise rainy evening. I participated in the village festival, and made some statues happy with vases. Next time I play I’ll be headed for new territory (at least as far as this playthrough is concerned). Between this, the warm gentle green tea and mochi it’s a nice start to my weekend.

From The Overlord’s Corner

Continuing to inch forward on “Operation Batman Diary” with success…? I’m thinking another week or two will be spent on this before adding it to the final composition. Aside from SFM work I did go through Part 1 of my wardrobe getting rid of things. I put together a tiny pile of things I’ve barely even used, and I’m going to see if a couple friends of mine want them. No sense throwing perfectly good things away if I can give them a good home. I’m sure I’ll have more to add, but I’ll save that for another weekend.

Otherwise I’ll probably accumulate so much junk that I’d have to deliver it via treasure chest. 😛

Aperture Desk Job Did Not Disappoint

Can I Ride It?

If you’re a Portal fan and haven’t played Aperture Desk Job, that needs to change STAT! It’s mainly made for the Steam Deck in mind, but you can still play it if you have a controller. It’s a thirty minute sit behind a desk simulator, and you play a newly hired employee tasked with performing QC work on… toilets? Your boss is a Personality Sphere by the name of Grady, who is just about as insane as any other employee you would meet at Aperture. Cave Johnson also makes a return!

I don’t want to go much in to detail, it’s like Jazzpunk or The Stanley Parable in a sense. It’s one of those things that is best experienced yourself.

Fucking The Time Egg

Enjoyed Quantum Break in glorious 4K this evening! I kept thinking about this one while playing around in Control, and how I should try and maybe finish it? Like a bunch of other games in my library? Although I’m finding things I missed the first time going through these levels, mainly skill points. I wish I could write more about it, but it was just a happy gunfight with time breaking powers. 😛 I had fun though!

I’m not sure if I’ll continue my adventures, or go on another path entirely… I kinda wanna check out Aperture Desk Job.

Cherry Blossoms On The Brain

One of my fave blogs to read is SoraNews24 when I want to read about all things Japan. Lately, they’ve been filling my RSS feed with tantalizing images of cherry blossom inspired beverages and desserts, usually from their Starbucks. They are very inspirational to look at, especially during the gray winter. I even had to treat myself after work today to a homemade Sakura Latte! With whipped cream even! I also have some cherry blossom syrup for teas, and for sakura sake. I might consider making a cherry blossom themed food substance over the weekend.
