The Mind Of OverlordTomala

Revisiting Memories Of Broforce

I found time to look through my Broforce recordings, and it has, like, allllllll of the content. There’s a little over two hours of content to go through still, and I already found a video’s worth to play with, and plenty of potential for animation! Revisiting this one has been a blast, laughing at how many times we died and all the numerous ways we did it.

My previous Broforce project was fun to work on. It’ll be interesting to see what I can conjure up, and when I might think of releasing it. 😛

A Blockdude And A Cyborg Walk Into A Bar

Tourist Season

The scene has been posed, and the script has been written! Now we just need to find the time to go over it and do a little recording, and I can begin animating. This will be the second time I’ve done a bar scene, we seem to like bar hopping from universe to universe. I guess there’s a certain Party God we can thank for that! 😛

If there’s any spare time tomorrow I think I’ll go through more footage, just to see if there’s anymore gold to find. TAKING CARE TO NOT DELETE ANYTHING FROM THE MAIN PROJECT DRIVE.

I’m thinking Broforce. 😛

Construction & Destruction

I had to kick myself around a bit last night… apparently in my footage cleanup I deleted something slightly important, like the game footage for my second Amnesia video. I’m not sure how I did it, but it’s no longer on any of my drives. The only consolation prize is the animation I put in for the ending, which can work on its own as a stand alone video. I’m kinda bummed that these horrible memories are gone, but that just means I can revisit these nightmares again in 4K. Oh well… Live and learn. At least I’ll have two videos for October, albeit one of them a tad smaller than anticipated.

That said, it’s time to begin anew. There is a Yakuza video to be made! I will need some rest before I begin construction! SHAKA!!!

Dreaming Of Yakuza Sheep

It looks like I can add my Yakuza footage to my 2022 YouTube lineup! There’s a good few minutes of content that I cherry picked out of the hour of footage I’ve accumulated. In fact, it doesn’t really need any of my animation to go along with it, unless I count the video editing. I’ve already started working on it and have already begun brainstorming with Yutram for how the ending will go down. I’ve already downloaded some helpful assets to properly setup the stage. In fact, the stage is about 75% of the way setup! I just have to decorate the room, place the “actors” in their proper areas with proper poses and then begin working animating dialogue… once we have that written down.

Another Day, Another Demon

If only we had some demonic Benny Hill music to accompany this scene

I’m thinking in a couple more play sessions I’ll be able to finally finish the game! My character has been made super powerful thanks to all the bounty missions, side quests, and trials. I even advanced the main plot! It took a slight twist that I wasn’t expecting, one that could only be properly understood if you played the previous game.

That’s enough for now, though. Time to leave this one on a cliff hanger to resume some fucked up story telling. I sifted through some of the Yakuza: Like a Dragon footage and might actually have enough to make a video with it! I’ll figure out more of it tomorrow after some more rain induced sleep.

Just A Humble Bounty Hunter

After a bit of grinding I managed to get through the Bounty Hunting missions, and managed to advance the main plot! Then more bounties showed up, and it’s all a vicious cycle of viciousness. On the bright side, the quests seemed much more diverse in the sense that it didn’t feel entirely like “Go locate A and kill B” kinds of quests. One of the last quests I finished tonight involved collecting demon rods.

It’s not what it sounds like.

I’m Never Bored

It’s looking like Okami will make for one fun video to make! I cut down a couple hours of footage down to a little under five minutes. There are a few opportunities for some animation as well, and not at the nightmare level that I operated at for the last project. Still… I might go over some other footage from another game before getting heavily invested in it. While exploring my massive collection of visual gaming nonsense I found some footage of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and I wanted to see how much of it I could salvage. Eh, I’ll save that for next week… My weekend draws close and I have other things I’d like to partake in of the productive type. My back is starting to finally feel more normal enough that I might attempt to excavate my closet.

Feeling 200GB Lighter

I’ve been through quite a bit of footage this evening, nothing worth keeping. Of course, this just means I can make room for better recordings. 😀 I’ve been doing test recordings whenever I have time to game, and 4K takes up an electric metric fuck ton of space. Through all of the endless searching, through gigabytes upon gigabytes of digital memories that were inevitably destined to meet the sacred trash can — I did eventually land upon some Okami footage that has successfully evaded deletion.

For now at least…

Two hours of the first recording was easily transformed into just a few minutes. I have one more separate recording of Okami to go over, but it looks like it will make at least one video when I’m done. I still need to go over potential animation points. There is potential for at least a scene or two.

Three Videos Become Two

Before I could wrap up my video project I needed to record a voice line for the intro, but I had to wait due to the sounds of birds chirping, lawn mowers buzzing, and the neighborhood redneck couples yelling and cussing each other out on the front lawn in front of their $3000 dog that they leave alone leashed in the lawn for 12 hours a day. You know, a typical Wednesday.

So, while waiting for things to quiet down — I looked into chopping up the remaining third part, only to find there wasn’t enough for it’s own episode. So, it’s looking like it will just be two videos: One with an assload of animation, and one that’s mostly gameplay. Honestly? That works for me. I can stop playing with pig models and move onto the next thing.

What might that be? I’m not sure yet. I’m going through some TF2 footage that I may or may not use. What started out as a couple hours of footage has now been condensed down to a couple minutes.Whether I decide if any is worth keeping or not will have to be determined after some sleep, and other important shit.
