Laughter As Pure As Maple Syrup

I recently found out, and finished watching the new season of Kids In The Hall! Just finished watching the final episode, and it all felt like a continuation from where they left off.. with possibly a little legal THC laced in the mix. It was fun to watch

Now I’m starting up their “Death Comes To Town” series. That one has been awhile, and surprisingly I’ve never heard of it before, kinda surprising no one ever really said anything about this. Love the portrayal of the Grim Reaper… he looks like someone you’d find down south.

Private Spa Day Open Thread

Today I made my last day of freedom a bit of a home spa day. My best friend since childhood sent me a nice care package containing spa items for all of the chill. I tried a lavender bar of soap, and a deep cleaning rose gel mask, and now I know I’ll be able to put my first foot flowered tomorrow…. pshewwwww.

There’s still quite a lot of other stuff to try, like scrubs and a couple other items, but those will have to wait. I have some watermelon scrub to finish up first. There was a giant sale on a bunch of watermelon bath stuff and I made fucking bank on it.

Greetings From The Astral Plane

I think I’m finally getting into spring thanks to the slightly better weather. I had a good rest, made some strawberry oatmeal and did some digital housekeeping. In this case organizing my files, deleting temp files and cache, and getting sucked into Okami. I covered a lot of ground, learned to swim in lava, discovered the Northern Ryoshima coast, and learned to climb up walls with the assistance of cat statues.

I’m still impressed with how large this game is, given this is from the PS2 era. I played a bit longer than I wanted to, but I kept finding new things and I couldn’t stop!.. that and I still had a full glass of wine to drink. :v

It’s Saturday… I’m Crashin’

I was feeling like a bit of platforming tonight, and decided to tackle the Dark Souls of platformers as some of my co-workers call it. I never played the original PS1 release of the first Crash (my first Crash game was the second), and while I’ve died a metric shit ton of times I can at least say I made it further than one of my co-workers (he couldn’t get past level 1). The first Crash Bandicoot game is basically an elaborate version of Simon Says that becomes more and more sadistic as you progress. It’s definitely a game that I have to take breaks from, just so I can have the patience to move forward a few levels.

Executive Decisions, Decisions

I had to revise the script on the project. There was a particular model that I wanted to use, and I didn’t know that it didn’t have any form of rigging. Since the scene involved a model with moving limbs, and these weren’t present I’ve had to move to Plan B. This might set back a few weeks, but whatever. I’ve put enough time into it for the week though. Tomorrow night I plan to pick a game from yonder collection.. nothing involving pigs.

Self Care: Floor Pillow Edition

One of the items from my weekend shopping spree arrived yesterday. I bought a zafu, or a meditation cushion for sitting on the floor. Meditation isn’t something I practice (unless it’s sideways), but I do sit on the floor sometimes, and my back has been complaining whenever I sit on the ground for too long. It also does a good job adding to the room as a decorative floor pillow.

I’m not sure if I have the patience to meditate in a serious manner. I just know the moment that I close my eyes my mind will wander to the dark unknown… kinda like the weird part of YouTube.

Welcome To My Nightmare

I invited a couple of real life friends into my imagination today, and so far they seemed to survive it ok. I figured if I’m helping beta test a book that I could get some feedback on my nightmare fuel, and it earned a few laughs! I should be wrapping up the 2nd video in a week or so, then I can begin on the 3rd and final installment (at least until I pick up playing it again in the future, that’ll require a barrel of guinness and a gallon drum of hash oil, fo-sho).

There Was Much Shopping

Went on a digital shopping spree today! I have a new chair coming in the mail, among plenty of other purchases that it will feel like Christmas for days. While I’m waiting for the chair I did get my chair pad in the mail the other day. So far that seems to help alleviate pressure in my tailbone. I’m still making sure to get up and stretch though, if anything this whole thing has taught me the wonders of stretching.

Another item I’ve been enjoying is an articulating arm for my Linux Surface Pro. I liked it so much that I decided to buy another one for the bed for easy reading at night. I’d say all in all it has been a productive weekend; a complete 180 from last weekend… and may I have many more. 🙂
