I’m at a loss of mouthwords…

I’ve returned a bit to Source Filmmaker — Making small bits of progress on a project I’m planning for October. I’m thinking it will be only one video, but the amount of animation I have planned will take some time. It’s kind of going to be all over the place. I also need to make a couple textures, it will be absolute bananas once it hits PooTube.
Happy New Year!
I was so tired yesterday that I forgot to post. I spent a good chunk of the day taking care of things around the house, made enough breakfast sandwich material to last me an entire week, and played a bit of NieR Replicant (the watermelons made me do it). It was either going to be that or Kiwami 2. 😛 I’ve been on such a Japanese game kick lately, when I’m able to play anyway. 😛 I haven’t touched a game since last weekend.
I’ll probably do more productive things tomorrow. I just needed a little rest time today, and NieR did a good job of releasing accumulated stress… something about stabbing things.
Someone recently asked me what my new year’s resolution was going to be… and, inventively — I had to go with the nerd 4K joke; Only to end up buying a 4K monitor tonight! 😛 It’ll be here in early Jan.I’ll be looking forward to upgrading my YouTube quality to delicious 4K! Of course that also means that the render times will be longer, though on my build that isn’t too much of a problem. 😛
Here’s to a productive 2022!
The little orange fireball known as Chuckie has managed to survive a couple weeks, as well as the two older boi’s. Though I would be lying if I didn’t say there have been some growing pains. Stewie, our oldest cat has been taking a new addition to the family really well, in fact he doesn’t seem to attack Morty anymore. Morty on the other hand, while being tolerable of his nephew, is still going through some growing pains trying to endure a bouncy rubber kitten.
Morty has taken to hiding in my bedroom whenever he wants to have a break from his little nephew. I snapped this shot the other day while working on website related stuff — I just turned around and saw him sitting up, eyeballing the out of reach drawstring on my green screen dangling from the ceiling. With those eyes I couldn’t help but pull out my camera. 🙂 He pretty much sat like that for 20 minutes, probably trying to think of a way to float up there to play with it.
I’ve pretty much reached a stopping point on my web based projects. I can now turn my focus to other nerdy ventures. Depending on how much time I have tomorrow I might even begin the process of building the new game servers, and of course animate some game porn. 😛 When I get a chance I’d like to return to my Halloween project; I might even post snip-its. Spooky stuff works all year around, after all the world is scary enough as it is.

As of this post I’m officially up and running on the new AlmaLinux webserver! All databases are pointing to their proper locations, the new Guild Of Slackers website is up!… kinda. I’m doing a bit of redecorating before I go live with it. 😀 I’ll probably unleash the wiki once I finish my plans for the main website — it’s basically going to be a web-portal of sorts, showing group information and our lines of communication (Discord, Mumble, Steam Group etc). I don’t see much of a point in making it a group website like before, especially since most people use the above mentioned for communication purposes. Then I still have to do the gameservers… then I can take a break from dependency hell and get back to focusing on the more artsy digital stuff.
Ok… if you’re reading this, then I actually did something right!
This blog is now on the new webserver! It took some trial and error getting it transferred and viewable, but it has been done! My brain has overcome dependency hell. Now to take care of all the other sheeeet.
I’m planning to move the websites over to the AlmaLinux server tomorrow, so you can expect there will be some downtime while I get everything in place. I’m already backing some files via sftp, and I’ve already backed off the SQL databases and virtual host files. So far the only snag I’ve run into is installing phpMyAdmin, but that can be set aside for now. I’m going to experiment with wp cli to get the databases up and running for each WordPress install.
Merry Christmas!… or something.
I hope everyone is having, or had a nice holiday. I stayed in my Christmas PJ’s all day, enjoyed a good breakfast, opened presents and played a little Yakuza. My muscles are enjoying some rest — my ankle didn’t even give me any issues today!
But now it’s time for slep.
