It’s the last day of vacation, and I spent it the best way I could. Ate an amazing breakfast, did a little photography, drank some green jasmine, gave myself a night time spa treatment and pedicure, rendered a video, and enjoyed some theatrical gaming on a big screen TV. It was great to end the day/evening on a good note. 🙂
Monkeying Around In The Latest Ex-Zodiac Update!
It started to feel like summer today! The sun felt amazing, the wind was perfection, and it was the right temperature to convince me to check out latest update too Ex-Zodiac. For their April update they added a new map called “Mirage”. It’s basically a wild west planet, and the only other level where you ride a hover bike instead of a spaceship.
Out of all the other levels I’ve played so far, Mirage has the hardest boss battle. I died multiple times, but learned something each time I died. I’ll need to go back and practice some more, and maybe find the missing data disc.
An Old Face
Ah, another weekend where we partied like it was the late 90’s! Our multiplayer choice this weekend was Quake II. We beat The Reckoning Expansion yesterday, and tonight we completed the Ground Zero expansion. Now we just have to finish Call of the Machine, that one looks to be a much larger expansion compared to the other two, and has a hub world similar to Quake.
Up To No Good… As Is Tradition
In fine Overlord fashion I started on one thing and ended up going in another direction. I’ve decided to put together a special video compilation as its own project separate from the milestone video, but ran into problems when I tried to re-export one of my old SFM sessions in 4K. I have a couple of options I haven’t tried yet to get it to export properly, but while I make preparations I’ve been rendering other old SFM projects for the same montage without any problems. Weird that it’s just one file that’s doing it though…
Aim High, Plan Low
Today I focused on finishing up closed captioning for all the remaining videos waiting to be released, now I have a clear head about what to decide on next! Tomorrow I’ll get started writing up a script for the 420+ milestone video. In the meantime I’ll be getting back into doing what I do best… capturing drones!
Borderlands 4 Trailer Looks Pretty Slick
The trailer looks interesting, but like the last installment I’ll probably wait for the reviews, and a sale before diving in. The main campaign or BL3 is kinda meh, and the only thing that brings us back to it is the fun moments in the DLCs. Who knows? Maybe BL4 will be as fun as the trailer makes it look. One can home anyway.
Every Night Is In Suspense
In the beginning I was uncertain if Horizon Forbidden West would live up to Horizon Zero Dawn, but so far I’d say they’re pretty equal. If anything Forbidden West improves on Zero Dawn in terms of technology, like being able to glide, grapple and the ability to climb practically anything. Each time I play this I’m left in suspense over what might happen next. Last night for example; I met someone who not only looks like me, but is also alive and from a far away, from another solar system. It’s hard to really talk about any of it without playing the first game, but long story short I’m happy with it.
Late Night Open Thread
Got some YouTube Thumbnails done today, and did a little digital spring cleaning with footage. There were a couple hundred gigs that I no longer need, not that I need the space. Then I even messed around in SFM tonight to build a scene! I’ll actually have a video with animation it coming up! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve had a reason to set a stage, but with my YouTube channel hitting over 420 subscribers it seemed like a fun thing to do. 🙂
The Shield That Wasn’t
I have to say, this is probably my fave shield that I’ve found throughout the game. I’ll probably never use it, but at the same time I’m going to have a hard time wanting to sell this one.
