Of course. Right now as I speak I am shopping around online for some cool deals. Unfortunately Newegg doesn’t really have anything spectacular. But I am getting some nice presents from places like World Market and Amazon. I think I’ll hit up ebay next.
It’s weird. I can play Source games fine, but Garrys Mod? It still isn’t ready. I even tried setting graphics to lowest of the low and it still lagged like hell. Playing multiplayer made the client even more slow. I guess I’ll be checking back in on it whenever it updates to see if there are any improvements. Maybe after I update to the next kernal (I noticed they pushed out another one recently) I can give it another shot. I haven’t heard anything spectacular about it when it comes to graphics though.
Seriously… what the hell? They’re selling on ebay for almost if not the same price as the damned console.
The scary part? People are bidding on these. Either people don’t know how to read an entire sentence, or they want the special shiny packaging… Either way it’s weird to watch.
Worked a small shift today. It wasn’t crazy busy though I did get quite a few surges from time to time. It was mostly people window shopping for Black Friday. Thank god I won’t be participating in that. Not working, not shopping. I refuse to partake in anything Black Friday unless it’s online. You can’t get trampled on the internet, though you might bring websites down in large surges. 😛

I loved the comments for that video. I agree that this sort of thing makes us look horrible. We act like a bunch of fucking savages fighting for so called “good deals”. Trampling and shoving each other because the device/appliance/scarf/whatever has much more value than the person you knocked over for it. We shouldn’t be allowed to encourage this kind of behavior. Seriously if you’re the kind of person to behave like that I hope someone’s stiletto pierces your lung. It’s the fucking hunger games.
Oh well… Enough ranting. We all know that most corporations over here are too busy rubbing money on their tender nipples to give a flying fuck. I might as well enjoy this Thanksgiving special. I feel old for watching it. I remember when it was brand new. 🙂 Good ol MST3K:
I’m a little surprised. I built a Mann vs Machine server for TF2 and I’ve been getting round the clock use on it. Had it and one of the Serious Sam 3 servers going at the same time without breaking a sweat. I added a plugin that sets reserved slots for admins. I haven’t tested it yet though. Might test it when I get off work if anyone is on (assuming I have any time).
Probably won’t be playing much until Thanksgiving. I have a couple earlyish shifts that I’ll be working. Good news is I won’t be working on Black Friday so that way my sanity will still be in tact.
I’m all rested and refreshed for tomorrow. I didn’t really do much for my weekend other than lounge. I did watch Day Of The Doctor. Before that I did a little bit of gmod which I haven’t done in awhile. Played on a server with a couple of friends then when it shut down I noticed people were on my server. So I went in and my friend Bong followed me. We both scared off the 5 people that were on there just running around and not doing anything strange other than being us. Lots of homestuck people there. It’s cool watching people play around as cartoon characters.
Then I went over to the Linux side to test Serious Sam 3 with the new Linux Kernal. Still needs improvement. It’s a little bit better but when I go through shrubbery the lag is terrible.
Well. Time to go off and have weird dreams. I had one the other night that I didn’t think I would make into a movie because of how bizarre it was… but I’m finding some materials that might help me along with it. This one requires a script with a few people I know, and I know of at least one of them that I hardly ever see anymore. And to be honest they are busy with real life and their own set of friends. I would feel bad asking them for help because frankly it wouldn’t be worth it. So that dream probably won’t become a reality (and as bizarre as it is that might be a good thing).
