So I had off on a Sunday for once in a loooong time, and the weather decided to crap out on me. Thunder and lightening. Joy.

I decided to finally give my dual mocap adventures a go and already ran into problems. One kinect displays everything fine, the other will only display half the data needed. Each kinect works fine when plugged in by itself, but the two will not cooperate with one another. So I’ll have to see if I have the same issue on my desktop. Can’t do it at the moment, currently under the Linux side downloading betas.

I played some of the Portal Beta. It runs fairly smooth, one problem with it so far is that the elevator gets stuck going to another test chamber. I think 4 or 5? I can’t remember. It’s nice to see my library under Linux getting larger. I may have to finally reinstall to another larger drive I’m not using. Maybe with Mint this time. 😀

Still updating TF2. It ran the conversion perfectly! Finished it in about 15 minutes time (faster than windoze) now I’m downloading the rest of an update. It was all quite out of date. I decided I didn’t need to do anything windows specific today so I might as well revisit Ubuntu. How I long for Valve to release SFM for Linux natively…

Seems like the weather gets even better when I go back to work. It got into the mid 80’s today, didn’t even have to wear a jacket to work. The wind just picked up not too long ago, but it’ll probably warm up later on. Supposed to be nice for the rest of the week.

The nice evening weather had me on my laptop most of the time just to stay cool. Did some CS:GO on it, didn’t get any higher than 50 C. I really love that laptop.

Yesterday I had a hair appointment which turned out alright. Then I decided to go and enjoy the sun (though it was a bit chilly) and shop the local stores in the community. Bought some nice work shirts at a couple of thrift stores and a nice set of earrings and a necklace that I might have to take a picture of at some point. It’s a matching set of blue flowers.

Then went out for some nice prawns and hot sauce. It was a leisurely day, my favorite kind of day. In fact the last couple days I haven’t really done much. Oh well, have to have weekends like that from time to time. I was even contemplating working on some more projects but then figured “screw it” I don’t have the muse right now.

Think I ate too much spicy stuff yesterday. Been having to counter it with some water, baking soda and ginger lemon tea. Blurgh.

Yesterday I was enjoying the sun after work. It’s nice again today, so I’m actually on my laptop outdoors on wifi enjoying some fresh air. 🙂 I even made two pitchers of iced tea since I knew I wouldn’t be wanting to make anything warm. I made iced coconut chai and iced Emperors Pureh.

Also I got a new pair of shoes. Some nice black nikes to replace my used and abused addidas. Been breaking them in with no problems. to

I was going to work on a video yesterday, but I started feeling a bit ill. Much better today though, but the nice weather might distract me from that a bit.

Maybe tonight when things cool off I’ll play with my kinect animation. That reminds me, need to check the mailbox and see if my power adapter arrived yet.
