Yesterday it was nice and sunny. I went out and enjoyed the weather, got some white peach tea, sushi, then a lemonade and had a nice quiet picnic at one of the local park.
My Asus ROG backpack arrived in the mail today too. I got everything moved around. Now I can throw away the old backpack. It has a lot of wear and tear on it, but it’s been faithful over the years. It was time to move on.
I love carefree days like that. 8)
Got excused in the mail. I think they found out I was an evil overlord that would obviously rig the trial. EVERYONE IS GUILTY!
I was shocked I tell you! Shocked! Brand new, no dead pixels, it’s perfect! I just played some Borderlands 2 on it and it looked fantastic. Can’t wait to play more games on this thing.
I have been kicking back mostly. Sleeping in longer than usual. looking outside at the dismal weather and closing my eyes to make it go away, drinking lots of green flowering tea and fucking around with my two kinects still in the dead of night. It’s strange how one of them always pans up and down and throws everything out of alignment.
It rained today. So I spent most of yesterday afternoon leisurely in bed. Then I got up and got caught up on things. I even made a nice shrimp spaghetti with a tomato and wine sauce that turned out very well. 😀
But yeah, boring Sunday. I played some Serious Sam, went through some more gaming footage, wrote a few more scripts, and played with my two kinects. I might have to purchase a green screen to elimate background noise. I’m picking up waaaaay too much yellow over the censor (which can’t be read properly). I’ll test with some more camera placements tomorrow if I’m up to it. I have the rest of this week to goof around since I’m on holiday.
I can’t remember if I’ve mentioned it here before, but I’m in the Steam Trading Card Beta. Which introduces a new profile layout and different features. It’s been a bit gimmicky, but otherwise it’s alright. I’ve been getting card drops from various games. You have the option of crafting them into badges (if you buy the ones that didn’t drop for you) or just selling them outright on the community market. I’ve done the latter, and as a result I’ve been getting some nice hats, background pictures for my new profile and a emoticon. Stuff I would never use my own money on for myself. I even got my father some Brocks Locks for fathers day. 🙂
That arrived in the mail. I am to appear in court in the beginning of august. I just filled out the questionnaire, will put it in the mailbox later or tomorrow.
I got the shipping label so that I can send the fail monitor back. They guaranteed a refund so I’ve shopped around for another one from a different seller. Getting a brand new one non refurbished for just a few dollars more. Here’s hoping my woes can come to an end.
I finally got around to rearranging some video footage and writing some short review scripts. Plus went over some of the Serious Sam footage from the night where I lost the internet. I have a brilliant idea for how I’m going to roll those out. I’ll work on those probably on Sunday or Monday when I can get time to play with my mocap stuff. We have company staying over for the weekend. Another excuse to slack off.
