After years of slacking on updating the forum I finally did it and didn’t break anything! Thanks to that the templates form properly. Now I can focus on addons, like a possible RSS grabber to syndicate this blog and SNews, and probably a different captcha system to protect the site from bots. Or any other random things I can find for shits and giggles.

Took care of HL2DM. Not only are the maps synced up with the client/webserver, I also installed metamod/sourcemod and added quakemod. It isn’t much but we’ll see how it goes. The HL2DM server is pretty quiet anyway.
TF2 server has been running with a good steady pace of traffic though. Files seem to be downloading at a quick pace so that’s good. I even renewed my account with bluehost tonight. Now I won’t have to worry about paying for another year. I guess the next task will be to upgrade phpBB3. That’ll be at my end though, not through bluehost.
Open Thread
Had an interesting start to my day today. Thought I had to be in at 4, turned out it was 2… I don’t feel too bad though. It’s the first time I’ve been late for work in nearly 3 years. I made it in at about 2:45 today. Oh well.
Well, I managed to get files to download to clients connecting to my TF2 and gmod servers! I did most of gmod last night and almost all of TF2. Now I’m syncronizing maps between my webhost, client and server. Went through the logs just a bit ago and it looks like I got some traffic that way. Good thing I went with an unlimited plan. The next server project will be the HL2DM server. There are some customizations/improvements I can make to that one.

Somehow I think the US version would need to be slightly larger with reinforced steel. Otherwise poor pooch would never be heard from again.

Yesterday was an interesting day. I knew it was going to be good when I saw an old man park his car right in front of one of our entry ways just so he could recycle his cans.
Did some animating again tonight. But haven’t really played anything in awhile. So decided to do some HL2DM team deathmatch, real fun feeding enemies public toilets. 🙂
Early Morning Open Thread
Garry recently fixed Garrysmod servers for Linux (w00t no more segfaults!) so I have that back online now. Been trying to figure out why the fuck it doesn’t load other gamemodes though. I’m trying to run elevator source and all I can get running is the map itself. gamemode stays at sandbox no matter what I do. This will require more research.
On another note I won a couple auctions today! Got a ThermalTake Frio and a Radeon HD 6950 coming in the mail. Once those come in I’ll play with some overclocking on my i5 2500k. Did some Portal 2 with BOD. We’re good at science! And by good I mean we didn’t know what we were doing! But we made it through last years DLC. Kinda sad because I played it before with Yutram, only once though. Old memory and all that jazz.
Did some more script writing tonight. Thought I got myself stuck in a corner but managed to find a way around it. I’ll go sleep on it a bit and see if I can come up with anymore mindfuckery.
