Break out the bath water.

The last  couple days have been rather tiring. The moment I came home tonight I immediately planted my ass down on the couch and rested a moment, then put together a nice flower bath. I dropped a rose crafted from soap into the bath and it melted into a lovely aroma, then I lit some candles that smelled like the ocean and flowers, then I got my mp3 player out and just relaxed. I think when I finally reach my weekend I’ll be spending the first day off passed out more so than usual.

Oh well. I found time to do a bit of animating in SourceSDK. Didn’t really have time to socialize, but there’s always later tomorrow night. I have to rest up for a full day of work with double time and a half. There’s a bright side to some things I guess.

The ongoing legal dispute between Motorola Mobility and Microsoft could see some versions of the Xbox 360 banned in the United States. International Trade Commission judge David Shaw has recommended that the trade group ban the import of 4GB and 250GB Xbox 360 S consoles, reports Courthouse News. These consoles are manufactured in China.

Taken from a blog I read regularly, Balloon Juice. Someone is pissed off about something that happened in a Hustler magazine…

Long story short. SE Cupp (woman who believes the only form of birth control should be none) was poorly photoshopped in hustler with a dick in her mouth… really? Naturally there was outrage on the right first, then outrage on the left shortly after. Oddly  enough it was someone on the right who pointed it out, meaning that they may possibly have a subscription?

But really. Outrage at a porn magazine?  Fuck, people really take their porn seriously these days.

Man was today weird.

Work was weird today. Especially with one of my co workers. He’s a nice kid, 17. He was a bit unaware of the people around him though.  He didn’t say what book he was reading, but it’s one about a guy getting his brain placed in a woman’s body. So we talked about what we would do if I became a guy or if he became a girl. My response was “search for every old guy/tweaker who ever tried to cop a feel or try to date me”. Then he started talking about sex in general (he watched Sex Ed recently). AROUND AN OLD LADY!!!! I kept trying to signal him to shut his mouth., But he kept going on and on and on, and finally I put a finger to my mouth to signal him one last time. He turned his head and clammed up. She looked at me funny then I looked at her funny. She said nothing to me and vice versa,

So after she left I had to let him know “I TRIED TO SIGNAL YOU!!!!” and he was like “It wasn’t like I was  talking about having sex with the customers!”. Personally I didn’t mind talking about it (the discussion was more along the side of science rather than… giggity)

Anyway…  Then we started talking about religion, we agreed on pretty much everything. Then discussed who could be more cruel, men or women? He said women since they can manipulate Men’s emotions. I gave my opinion. Both sides can be cruel. I don’t believe cruelty is a gender specific thing. I’ve seen some manipulative bitches, but I’ve also seen men being outright abusive. So I would have to say that’s just human nature in general.

Man was today deep and trippy.

Late Night Open Thread

Got my work uniform ready for later today. As well as all of the other bells and whistles I hand picked. Since the weather has been a bit crappy the last few days (and still supposed to be) I think I’ll keep the makeup to a minimum. So for my 7 day work week I picked the following daily care:

  1. Lipstick/gloss
  2. Foundation
  3. Blush

Maybe even some pink nail polish… Which really isn’t like me at all, but I’ve been meaning to try some new stuff. Once again I had another day off where I didn’t accomplish anything for my projects. Good thing I’m as far ahead as I am. Ah well. Edit a new victory end song for the TF2 server in Soundbooth then call it lights out.

Girly Open Thread

Well. I’m on part 2 of my weekend. Seems I’ll have more work for this week and next week. A new hire at work walked out on her first day. So they shuffled people around and I get an extra day this week and next week. Both are full shifts so that’s always nice.

But it’s my day off. I really should try to stop thinking about work for a moment. I think I’ll post about something I’ve been doing more of lately since the weather has gotten better. Makeup.

My mother works in the cosmetics section, so she gets sent all of these free samples to try. She got quite a bit at a convention she went to a month ago. So quite a bit of it ended up being my birthday present. Not complaining at all.

One of the things I got was a primer and eyeshadow combo from CoverGirl. It’s oil based, so it will last for a long day out and about. I haven’t used it on it’s own yet (but you can!), instead I have been putting eyeshadow over it.

This is one I got last year that I recently opened. The black and silver are very shimmery. So I use the silver as the base coat (even though it’s supposed to be the browbone) , a light touch of pink halfway through (can’t entirely coat my eye with it since too much pink on me doesn’t match the rest of me) and a little brush of black at the outer part of the lid.

As for the boring foundation and powder part. I use basic CoverGirl TRUBlend for that currently. A bit of some blush, then for the lips. LipSmacker. Because I have a gigantic collection. Like everything else I have, most of this stuff is given to me and it collects over time. Just like my bath product collection… Combine all of that on my face and you get:
