Finally got through Chapter 3 on Steam Deck without it blowing up this time! I lowered the graphics settings to medium and locked the framerate to 60, so far it seems to be maintaining. I’ll have to see what Chapter 4 holds next time I’m in the mood.
A couple years ago I played some Broforce with a friend of mine, and I finally got to the last of the footage! Makes for some fun memories.
It was another nice summer day that passed through. I woke up and enjoyed a Mediterranean quinoa bowl and picked up Hades for the first time in ages. I installed it onto the Steam Deck today, and as expected it runs to perfection. So far I’ve bit the dust 10 times, petted three headed doggo enough for an achievement, and cleared Tartarus… only to die and begin again once more. 😛
I did get to cycle some of the weapons. Played with the shield, a spear, played with the bow for a bit. For not having touched this one in awhile I think I did ok; I advanced the plot, made myself a bit stronger, enjoyed stabbing things, among other things.
Then later on in the day, when it started to cool I went to Heaven to get some Neon White Achievements and grab as many gifts as I could find. Did really well getting the Ace Medals, someday if I’m brave enough I’ll start going for the Dev Medals. They can only be obtained if you beat a level under a game dev’s completion time. I think I already have one that I got by accident.
My week of binge playing Shadow Warrior 2 finally reached the end, for the first playthrough anyway! I’ll return someday for NG+, but for now it’s time to start pinging back and forth between other adventures and worlds. I left a review on Steam, and some final screenshots on Mastodon. Overall it was a lot of fun to play!
I spent the rest of the evening outside retro gaming on my Steam Deck, it was a nice summer evening of fresh air and a little Deus Ex. Finally got around to finishing the tutorial to help me dial in the custom controls, and eventually made it to Liberty Island. Going to try and do stealth as much as I can, taking in the scenery… such as it was for its time. I never played it when it first came out though, so… it’s still new to me! 😛

Finished the remaining side quests, as per the assignment.Next time I launch the game I’ll be back on the path of the main quest line. More pics can be found on my Mastodon page.
Finished almost all the trials, taking a break from the last one. I also managed to finish one of the Heisenberg side missions – basically had to go make some drugs for a couple of cyborgs. I only played for an hour, but it was one intense hour!
Also moving along on the Skyrim ending! Just started animating some more watermelon magic tonight, and a few different camera angles. I’ll be starting on animating the next bit of dialogue tomorrow. Might also continue my ninja adventures tomorrow, also too!
Some purdee screenshots from tonight’s demonic stroll in Shadow Warrior 2! Haven’t played since the beginning of June, so I figured why not pay this beautiful hellscape a little visit before I call it a night? I finished my bounty, and knocked off a couple trials before calling it quits. If you want to see a couple other shots I have them up on Mastodon.
Fortunately this ending won’t take nearly as long as Airheads in Space did, there’s only about 33 seconds of audio for me to play with. Everything is pretty much placed and ready to go for tomorrow. It’ll be nice to work on something a little more down to earth, or nirn in this case.
For my weekend of decompression I had a nice Mediterranean omelette, blueberry tea and snacks throughout the day, and decided to return to Neon White. It’s been a few months, but I’ve moved to the third chapter, and went back and collected gifts and ace medals. Gained a couple of achievements along the way, learned a new card trick, etc.
I’ve played multiple genres over the years, but have never quite played anything like Neon White. I’m really savoring each session.
