Finished the first chapter of Hi-Fi Rush! It was fun to get my groove on for an hour. Made it to the hideout, petted a robokitty and upgraded. Good note to end the evening on.
Hard as Hades
Made it out of Tartarus during lunch, and got knocked back into the House of Hades when I got home. On the brightside I did make it farther this time! I used the sword. Each time I die I always try some other weapon; so far my faves are the sword and the bow. I hear the shield can do a lot of damage, but my first playthrough with it didn’t go as well as it did with the other weapons. I also recently unlocked a spear, maybe I’ll try that for my next playthrough?
Shadow Warrior 3: Take 2
Dipped my toes into Shadow Warrior 3. My last taste of the game was a bit soured, having come from two previous games that gave you more weapon options and sword movement; but damn… don’t those cutscenes look nice??
As simplistic as the gameplay has become compared to previous installments; I did have fun playing with different explosives found within the variety of demons I laid to slaughter. I also obtained a drill gun from one of the demons, that was pretty cool. They also brought back one of my fave characters from the 2012 reboot! His lines and enthusiasm actually make me want to come back to this again, or maybe even return to the 2012 game to do a little achievement hunting!
I’m still a little mixed overall, but at least on this run I did find some positives. Maybe I’ll find more on my next session. 🙂
Serious Evening of Seriousness
Played around in Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem tonight! Probably one of the tougher ones I’ve played in the series. My only complaint so far is the optimization; sometimes I get frame dips during combat. Other than that and dying a lot I’ve been getting through it. I may die a lot, but each time I last a second or two longer! That’s a second or two more to take more baddies out.
Suddenly Furries!
I cleared a few sidequests in Dust: An Elysian Tail, and also did one of the trials! Sat outside on my Steam Deck and got some fresh air while making progress. I’m at level 28 now, and 61% completion. I’ve done JUST enough to merit another break! 😛
Another Sunday in the Wonderlands
It was a good day all around. I woke up and made a nice sushi breakfast bowl, and in the afternoon Yutram and I met up to continue our digital adventures in The Wonderlands! I’m thinking we’re getting close to the end. We took a break from the main quest line to gather shrine pieces and tie up other side quests that we haven’t finished.
I’m thinking next playsession we might finally finish the game! Unless there is a plot twist lying around somewhere…
Another Agent 47 Enters The Frey
Decided to check out Hitman tonight. I’ve been having fun coming up with multiple ways to assassinate the target, and I’m not even past the tutorial yet!
I’d have to say that my fave method so far has been disguising myself as a close ally to the target and then strangling him to death, it’s probably one of my fave ways to even spend a quiet evening.
