Ah, Counter-Strike Condition Zero: Deleted Scenes… the real reason I upgraded to 4K! Actually I started playing it on my Deck, and decided to play it on my desktop to bask in the amazing 4K experience! For reasons…
Maybe since it’s more portable now I’ll be able to will myself into finishing it. I made a touch menu on Steam Deck for quickloads/saves.
I finally made my way past the Meat Packing District in BloodRayne 2! Made my way past the boss battle, and now I’m a couple levels farther than before! It’s been a rainy day, cosy vibe, ass stabbing kind of day with plenty of chamomile to get me through all the destruction. I got an achievement for committing 50 carnage kills, apparently that’s a rare achievement? I get the feeling not many people have played it, at least post achievement update.
Happy Easter! I celebrated by adding this old game onto my Deck! I have it running through the Steam branch of RetroArch with the DOSBoxPure Core installed. It feels so right having it in the palms of my hands, and the nice thing about old retro games is looooong battery life! Maybe now I’ll finally be able to beat all the other episodes!
Another adventurous evening was spent in the Pixar-Perfect looking world of Kena: Bridge of Spirits! I discovered Photo Mode and it all went down hill from there.
Hanging With The Fam
I’ve made more rot friends, destroyed the Wood Knight, and slowly mastering archery!
I’ve mostly been playing it on Desktop. It runs ok on Steam Deck, if you don’t mind playing at 30FPS. 99% of my gameplay has been with a controller, but for some of the trials I had no problems playing keyboard and mouse.
It’s nice to have the option to choose between the two.
Got to learn archery tonight in Kena: Bridge of Spirits. It was a fun reward for beating a boss battle.
The bow also allows you to grapple to unreachable places if you happen to notice a large blue flower. It helped me reach a nice meditation spot. Great for permanently increasing your health, AND a good spot to call it a day. There’s another boss up ahead that has convinced me to call it a night.
Finally made it far enough into Portal Reloaded to wield the Time Portal! It took a lot of banging my head against the wall, but I finally figured out the 8th test chamber – thinking with Time Portals plus regular ones takes some getting used to.
I’ve left off at the 10th chamber tonight. It involves momentum, getting a cube to a platform, and my brain is too tired to process it more. Ever look at a puzzle and think the answer is right in front of you, but you can’t see it? That tells me it’s time to sleep, and come back to this after a few sleep cycles, and a variety of other games from yonder collection.
I’m still working on Operation: Airheads In Space. Some of these scenes take more time than others. The next scene in the video is going to take a little time for me to pull off, but it will make for a fun experiment in how over the top of an anime battle move I can create using nothing but a fishing pole and a little imagination!
This fishing expedition is taking longer than I thought, and I might be at it for awhile longer, but if it isn’t successful, it will be questionable.
Haven’t touched the Yakuza games for a couple months, and I thought I’d take in some sights in 80’s Kamurocho. Been having fun playing it in between Steam Deck and home today!
I’ve been having fun in Shantae and the Seven Sirens! They must have had extra money leftover to put some of these cutscenes together… I mean look at the intro video, it has so much energy:
Most of the cutscenes in game are pretty short, but they do offer a nice touch. I kinda want to see a Shantae anime now.
In Seven Sirens, you’re on vacation! Actually it’s for the Half Genie festival, where you perform other Half Genies with different powers… until all but Shantae mysteriously disappear.
FLOWER!!!
Now, I don’t want to spoil it for you… but the cause of the disappearance of the other Half Genies miiiiiiiight have something to do with these Sirens. This potted plant Siren was as irritatingly deadly as she was adorable.
After freeing one of your fellow sisters of fabulousness, they will reward you with a coin that will allow you to shapeshift instantly into a certain form. In this case I can become a newt and climb up walls, very similarly to the Monkey form in Half Genie Hero. So far I’ve managed to destroy two baddies and save two buddies!
I still have tons more exploring to do, but so far I’m really enjoying it! I even played a little more on my Steam Deck this morning. Next time I play it’ll be under the sea!
Had another fun session in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands! We made it to Level 11!
We reunited with Mr Torque! He plays as a Half Human Half Bard, which for him makes perfect sense. We banded together to destroy crystals with intense barding (plus a little help from magic and guns).
We had so much fun that we didn’t even realize how late it was! Time to postpone the chaos until another weekend.
