Tomala’s UNREAL Indie Gaming Weekend

Today was a productive day… for my gaming collection! I got all of the achievements in AMID EVIL, and I even decided to play a little bit of Abyss Odyssey for the heckuvit!

Since I spent most of my last weekend sifting through video footage, I figured I would give myself a true break from it and chill in a couple different gaming worlds that have been collecting digital dust on my digital shelf. Now I won’t have to touch AMID EVIL again until The Black Labyrinth DLC releases. As for Abyss Odyssey? I’m not sure if I’ll ever complete this one. I like it, but the controls feel a little clunky. I imagine if I do complete it it’ll be somewhere between now and old age. 😛

Cloudpunk & Chill

I escaped into the world of Cloudpunk this evening, and with style! I got to sprawl out on the couch for a few hours to explore, continue the story, and achievement whore like no fucking tomorrow. It was fun! After visiting the Wikipedia page for Cloudpunk I’ve discovered that it’s available on pretty much all platforms, so I’ll have to mention this one to a couple of people at work. I think they’d like it too, it has the right atmosphere, it looks beautiful, the dialogue is well written and the characters are fun.

As soon as I finish this game I’m probably going to give it a high recommendation. But completion will have to wait for another day, there are many other games that call out to me at the exact same time! 😛 Like I was telling a co-worker friend of mine; I have the backlog from hell.

On the flipside? I’m never bored! 😛

Monday Evening Open Thread

Didn’t complete any videos today, but I did take a trip down memory lane and it lead me to some fun TF2 matches. 🙂 I collected enough footage to take a break from that for now, and shift my focus back to the Skyrim project!

I cut up the audio from our special recording session the other day, and tomorrow I’ll finish it up to export into SFM. Huzzah! I also pieced together the SFM exports I already took care of… we be lookin’ fine.

Opted for some Okami and chill this evening. I made some progress, a couple trophies/achievements worth! Speaking of gaming; I got my special golden email from Lord Gaben himself, my Steam Deck dreams will soon be a reality! Well, sometime between now and October anyway. 😛

Sunday Work & Play

I spent today doing some physical and digital housekeeping. My videos now mostly fit on just two hard drives! I compiled two small Shantae videos for next month! I didn’t mean to — it just sort of happened when going through the footage.

Of course, there was a little time left at the end of the evening to play a little bit of Yakuza 0. I even found a quest that I missed the first time around! It involved protecting Miracle Johnson aka Michael Jackson from “zombies”. Somehow I get the feeling that I’ll be seeing him again sometime in the not too distant future.

I Accidentally a Productive

Somehow I’ve managed to compile two GMod videos AND do a recording session for the Skyrim vid! I’m really getting through this footage and making room! The second GMod video will remain in the can for the October lineup of videos, making this one number three so far. I’ll also be releasing another tiny one on Thursday!

The original idea I had was to chill and play a game tonight. Heck, I might even do that in a little while just to relax a bit before bed. I’m thinking of visiting Sotenbori.
