The Mind Of OverlordTomala

WTF Am I Doing…

My brain has been all over the place on a current project I’m working on. It’s not one of the usual ones where I take a bunch of clips and make a video, or even one where I would make some silly animations. I have to do a presentation that lasts anywhere between 7 to 10 minutes on a serious subject of my choosing. The latter is where my brain feels like it gets stuck in a fork in the road.

My goal is to commit to this before returning to my regularly (un)scheduled bullshit. So far I think I’ve narrowed it down to what the topic should be, now I just need to figure out which article to do the write up about, and how to talk about it for 7+ minutes.

Maybe if I’m successful I’ll make a public version to share.

Living Like a Dark Lord

Managed to get sucked into the world of Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow for the last bit of my weekend. After getting a couple of boss fights completed before bed last night it was kinda hard to avoid, even defeated a couple more! Heck, I might even play a little more before bed. At this point I’m going through previous areas to find secrets or anything else I’ve missed. I’ll make sure to hold off on the final boss battle until I finish Aria of Sorrow; I’m pretty much at the same point in that game too, just collecting things.

Back To The Main Plot (Borderlands 3)

We decided to return to Borderlands 3 tonight for the first time in a couple of months. On Friday we watched the Borderlands movie, which out of all the movies out there it is definitely a movie. We figured after watching the movie that the writing in Borderlands 3 should feel better by comparison, and to a point it was.

Weekend, I Have Arrived

The last couple of days have felt like scorched earth, yesterday I had some quality time with my Steam Deck in the backyard during the heatwave. Today I worked through most of it, though it was still pretty hot after getting off work this evening. But now it’s chill, and my weekend. I think I know what I’ll be playing. 😀

T’was a Portable Day

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve used my Steam Deck. I made up for it yesterday by bringing it to work for one of those long lunches that are fewer and far between these days. Played a bit of Cosmo in DOSBox, and remembered that I really need to set this up in RetroArch, the save states and cloud saves would make it worth my while.

Tonight I didn’t even bother turning my desktop on. I’m writing from the tablet instead. I’m feeling exhausted after a long day. Ending it with a nice shower and a bit of couch gaming seems like the way to go… I won’t have that kind of time tomorrow night.

Beware The Shadows

Finally finished a quest in Aragami 2. I wanted to get an S Rank, so it took me a few tries… BUT I FINALLY DID IT!!! I had to eliminate four targets without anyone seeing me. There were many K.O’s in order for me to achieve that. But at the end of the day, at least I know that as a ninja I would throw one hell of a sleepover.

Birds of a Feather…

We did something a bit different for our weekend game session and did a little virtual couch co-op with Untitled Goose Game! We had fun doing goose things, like trapping a small child in a phone booth, making him buy back a toy plane from a shopkeeper we kept trolling, and made a gardener’s life a living hell.
