Happy Easter! If you celebrate Zombie Jesus Day… If not I hope it was the day you voted for. Mine was quiet, there was ham, potatoes, sugar, and some digital violence to replace the Easter Egg hunts of yore.

We decided to check out Deathcraft. A Left 4 Dead campaign that takes place in the Minecraft Universe!
Can be downloaded here.
Back in the Forbidden West again. Finished a side quest, and mainly focused on hunting machines and animals for crafting purposes. Another fun game in front of the TV after a long day. Will probably play more during vacation. 🙂
The original plan tonight was to play DMC4 on the TV, but apparently when they patched the game a few months back they broke it for people on newer systems. It still works like a charm on the Steam Deck though, that said I still wanted to sit down and play on the biggest screen. So instead of playing on my handheld, I played a handheld game on TV. 😛 It’s the perfect size for the Castlevania DS games. I beat a couple bosses and covered more ground, though I’m still at about 33% completion, which is fine. I’d rather finish Aria of Sorrow first before finishing Dawn of Sorrow. I would have played the former tonight, but that doesn’t look quite as good on big screen…
Only had time for a little bit of Castlevania of some form tonight… and I laughed for a good few minutes after finding this “monster”. Apparently it’s called a “Chronomage”, a rabbit looking creature based loosely on Alice in Wonderland. The Chronomage can control time, and can typically send you back to the previous room… unless you too can control time! Luckily I already had that ability when I first crossed it tonight. Twas a funny find, leave it to Konami.
I’ve been seeing a few friends having fun in the latest Trine game, so I decided it might be a good idea to pick Trine 2 up again. I needed something colorful to get into tonight, as the entire work day was nothing but gray. I think I like these new worlds as much as the original Trine, if not moreso. I finished a couple levels and did a few unspeakable things to the local goblins. It was a fun little escape for the night. 🙂
Today I enjoyed some quiche I made yesterday. Treated myself to some private spa stuffs, came out of the shower and enjoyed a fruitful cup of tea, did a little gaming on the couch and even got some sun on my vampiric skin. Sometimes you have to do nice things for yourself, despite what your brain might tell you.
The only thing that would make it even better would be a third day off… but on the bright side I do have vacation to look forward to next week! I won’t be going anywhere special, but I will be using the time to catch up on some emails, do some spring cleaning, and take care of some other nerd shit needing to be done.

We decided to check out the Quake 64 Expansion in Quake II, it was interesting. The level layouts differ quite a bit compared to the PC original, mostly due to the limitations on the N64’s hardware. The levels were mostly indoor, from what we played. I’m glad they released this version to play on PC! While I prefer the original design the N54’s was still fun in its own way. We’re about halfway through the campaign, and we’ll have to play through it again to find the secrets we missed.
Last week we barely dipped our toes into the Bounty of Blood DLC. Tonight we spent a few hours of destruction, and a random spa visit? So far we’re still liking the DLC. I hear it leaves off on a cliffhanger, so I’m making sure to savor it when its good.
The in game Bath House helped me get in the mood for a good shower tonight! Now I’m chilling and preparing my weekend getaway shopping list. I haven’t decided yet what the weekend breakfast will be, but with each passing week it feels like they become rich delicacies… not because of the recipes themselves, but because eggs keep getting more and more fucking expensive, and produce to shortly follow.
May everyone have the day they voted for.
