I’m proud to say that I have videos going all the way into the new year! There will be a video every week all the way until January! I just finished making a Quake 3 compilation last night, nothing fancy. Tonight I’m going through my eternal selection of Skyrim footage, and already I’m finding quite a few gems worth saving… and potential for some animation! I’ve been making so many normal compilation videos lately that it would be nice to get back into SFM. These more recent videos haven’t really called for any animation, but it would be nice to get a little more creative. Who knows? Maybe all the other videos I’ve been working on will buy me time while I learn other techniques.
Oh What A Night
Last night I finished up another compilation for November! Next time I play with footage it’ll be one of the Quake 3 sessions, something uber old school. I also leveled up in Sonic Racing, thanks Steam Deck! 😛
But now that I’m back home after enduring my first night of corporate vampirism, it’s time to munch a breakfast sandvich, and to pray to the daedric prince of antihistamine for some good rest.
Okami Sunday
I’m slowly plinking away at Okami on my Steam Deck! I didn’t really accomplish much, other than walk on large bodies of water and mine for demon teeth. Demon teeth are a currency that you can give to special sellers in exchange for special abilities. The music from Okami is oddly addicting, too. I had it playing while cleaning up earlier. 😛 I might play a bit more after a small allergy drug induced nap.
Saturday Evening Open Thread
The original idea was to stay up as long as I could to adjust to an upcoming week of graveyard shifts, but I’m coasting on only a few hours of sleep between last night and somewhat of a nap. I was up late coughing… I’m still trying to get over my sinus issues, and I kept randomly coming to life to hack up a lung. I at least managed to make it through work today, but I’ve been mentally dead ever since. All I’ve really been able to do is enjoy my tea, and trying to re-hydrate the best that I can. I’m just glad I have a vacation following this corporate vampire week… I’m gonna need the rest.
A Lil’ Work & a Lil’ Play
With the exciting news of even more Yakuza games coming to PC, I decided that was a good enough excuse to play Yakuza 0 on my Steam Deck! No one at work has seen my modded world, and in some ways that might be for the best. Some people just can’t handle my selections! 😛
Speaking of content creation: I finished up the L4D video! It’s going to be a bit of a bigger video than usual, but it’ll be a best of compilation. I think it’s good enough to preserve on its own. It will debut in October alongside other videos!
Dam It, Batman!
It would seem I accidentally mistook this footage for Left 4 Dead 2 due the modded characters, this is actually classic Left 4 Dead! This is from the livestream we did back in 2020! We played Dam It! — the released-unreleased official campaign that never made it into the final game! It’s been a lot of fun revisiting this one, annoying at times, but intriguing all at the same time. I can tell this is going to be a fun one to work on! The recording is almost two hours long, and I have another 30 minutes to go through. I’m not sure if I’ll animate it or not, but I do see some animation potential in a couple of areas.
We shall see.
A Seriously Good Day
Today’s lunch break was seriously fun. I played Serious Sam! On the ride home from work I decided to test my skills at playing with the gyro enabled in the car, and uhhhhh, yeah… I don’t recommend it. I’ll have to try disabling the gyro, or stick with other game genres.
I also made time to go through some more video footage involving a similar topic! 😛 I’ll be adding this vid to the December lineup! As nice as it is making these short montages. Tomorrow I’ll go over an old L4D2 stream to see if there are any nut-worthy moments.
Steam Deck Game Of The Day: Blade Kitten
Another week of work means another enjoyable lunch break of food and destruction! It’s been awhile since I’ve played Blade Kitten, it’s one of those games I actually finished a long time ago! But there are still several remaining achievements, plus some free DLC I never completed. I’m also going to try and find all the chests and other secrets. It gives me a good excuse to revisit this classic!
I might pick a different game tomorrow, there is currently 51 games installed on my Steam Deck, so i kan haz optionz.
