Tonight I came home to an interesting article about the human brain and apple products.
In a recently screened BBC documentary, UK neuroscientists suggested that the brains of Apple devotees are stimulated by Apple imagery in the same way that the brains of religious people are stimulated by religious imagery.
People have often talked about “the cult of Apple”, and if a recent BBC TV documentary is to be believed, there could be something in it.
My friend Yutram and I once did a goof off podcast together where we talked about the religious symbolism of digital products (Microsoft, Linux, Mac etc) and at the time I thought figured Apple represented purgatory. Why purgatory? Because Steve Jobs never wanted you to leave his walled garden.
Steve Jobs sure trued to get people to take a bite out of that apple too…
