Early Trick or Treating

A Minecraft Blockdude wearing Hatsune Miku hair, a Cyborg wearing Yugioh hair, and a robotic fox wearing googly eyes and a Princess Crown. All enjoying a night of Trick or Treating.

It’s a bit early, but we did some trick or treating in Resonite! Still exploring quite a few worlds, this was the last one we stopped on. You had to go up to different houses and use voice chat to get the doors to open, then they would hand over sweets, plushies or cursed items. We also did a scavenger hunt in another world. What better way to start my current vacation?

Late Night Spooky Adventuring

We did some cozy world exploration in Resonite this evening. The theme was Halloween, and they have quite a few Halloween/Horror worlds to explore. We visited a corn maze, went trick or treating for the elements of Halloween, did some literal soul searching, and found some nightmarish optimizations along the way. A pumpkin spiced chai would have made the evening more complete, but I’m on a green tea kick still. Meh, oh well…

Return To Trick & Tear!

Returned to the battlegrounds of Trick & Tear! Finished a couple of levels before calling it a night. I’ve spent so much time Quakeing and Castlevainiaing that I haven’t given myself time to go over this deadly wad of deadliness. As usual there are more pictures in my post over at Mastodon, or your choice of Fediverse.

Conjuring SFM To Do My Evil Bidding… Of Evil

I won’t have much in the way of YouTube content this month. Instead I’m siphoning my creative time towards some spooky scenes for a projector we’ll have outside. It’ll only be a couple minutes on loop of some spooky scenery, but far better than your trad Halloween projector. I’ll have it all compiled before the end of the month.

Thinking With Horror, and Maybe Portals

Tonight I wandered down the realm of Science, you monsters!Made it most of the way through my accumulated collection of Portal 2 Horror Maps! Some involving murderous mannequins, escape rooms, and a PT inspired level!

One of the maps I downloaded is called Chell Comits Tax Fraud aka the Portal equivalent of PT. In fact there wasn’t much in the way of using Portals tonight. Most of the maps I played were basically walking simulators, or if The Stanley Parable had a horror bend to it.

Another fun map that I played was Basement Horrors. When it originally launched the map was able to shuffle itself in such a way to randomize your experience on each run. Though that mechanic is broken now, it is still playable to the end.

Though that mechanic is broken now, it is still playable to the end. It’s still quite easy to die if you’re not careful, but as you die each time it becomes more like a memory game. Kinda like Simon, if Simon was a murderous game.

Now I can properly declare my horror scratch to be officially itched for tonight! Now to rest and contemplate the next adventure…
