Bounty Hunter: One Day Only

Today I was in a good mood. Good weather, good work day, good things to eat and drink, and play! Decided to pick back up High On Life again after giving it a bit of a break. Found more chests, saved some human cargo and completed another bounty. I got enough of a fill of it to give the game a bit of a rest for now.

Tomorrow I’ll pick another form of entertainment from my endless collection.

Booty Call

I didn’t have time to start the next bounty, but I did have fun hunting for booty and chests! Tonight I had fun taking my jetpack to new heights! (Pun Intentionally Unintentional). Currently backtracking in the slums, found a few chests and destroyed some generic baddies.  It helped quell my vengeful soul this evening, though the tea might also be helping with that.

Jetpackin’

Yesterday was a digital trip down Memory Lane. Today I opted for something more modern and more disturbing… but I did unlock the Jetpack! I mostly went around looking for chests to open using my new found ability. I’ll probably do something a little less mind numbing tomorrow… maybe Portal Reloaded.

Came For The Game, Stayed For A Movie

Last night I went to play High on Life, and ended up having a Movie Night instead. I purchased a Warp Disc; Warp Discs allow you to teleport other worlds to you. This particular one allows you to visit a movie theatre. Yes, an ACTUAL MOVIE THEATRE.

With a full MST3K style heckling to boot. I wasn’t planning on staying for the whole thing, but I had fun listening to the commentary of Demon Wind. There are also 3 other full movies that can be watched in game, something to save for other nights. I wanted to get back into bounty hunting and finding chests of intergalactic pesos.

Aside from obtaining a few achievements tonight, I also made a new gun friend during my adventures. She has the ability to control time and can fire gems that are as explosive as her attitude. I think I have one more weapon to befriend and I’ll have the full set.

Under The Influence of Life

Continuing where I left off last week in High on Life. I earned the ability to use warp discs to get around, completed a paperwork game that went on a little longer than it should have, and decided to call it a night at the Boss Battle.

I came close to defeating him, but the light on his candle was only .1% harder to snuff out than the likes of mine. Called it a night before motion sickness sat in. This game, and a few other Unreal Engine games are making me consider upgrading my SSD/NVMe storage. The prices have been amazing for a few months now, and with more games using more resources and drive speed it would make sense to upgrade soon.

That and 4K rendering is far better on an SSD than a mechanical drive.

IT BEGINS!!! (Again)

Back to working on a familiar scene! We’re back in the digital living room, finishing a game that has long sat in our library for many a year. So far I’ve got about 6 seconds of animation going in this clip, with many more to follow! Unfortunately there’s not much more to say on it now, other than I’m off to a good start. I’m going to give myself until late December to finish it, though I should be done with it way before then.

I did make sure to take my one hour of game break before calling it a night, and since I’ve been doing a good job of getting through footage and games I’ve started yet another new adventure! Last winter a good friend of mine from work gave me a copy of High On Life for Christmas, and now I finally got around to playing it! I won’t say much for now, as a game of this caliber is more deserving of its own post, not bad for only an hour’s worth of content!
