This Game Is Bananas

New game time! I decided to try My Friend Pedro. It’s a side scrolling bullet ballet with bullet time mechanics and physics shenanigans. Not only does it run nicely on Steam Deck, but it also kept my hands warm! It also supports cloud saving! I continued my adventures on desktop to enjoy in 4K!

Steam Deck Game Of The Day: TRINE!

Today I had some spare time during my lunch break to play a bit of Trine on Steam Deck! It keeps a steady frame rate even when you bump up the eye candy! I came pretty close to finishing it on my last playthrough, but decided to start again to see how it performs on Deck, and to get more familiar with the control scheme. If you like a mix of hack n slash, physics puzzles and magic I recommend it. You can also co-op with it with up to 3 people! Great for couch sessions with buds!

Cloudpunks, Bruh

It’s my Friday! I haven’t done much gaming all week, so I decided to relax after a bit of animating and check back in at Cloudpunk HQ. I even got a few trophy achievement things.

I don’t play this game very often, but when I do it’s like I get sucked into it for hours. So many things to find lying around the world, so many androids and people to talk to. This is looking like it will merit a second playthrough, just to see what happens if I make other choices. Plus there’s also DLC I haven’t tackled yet. All in good time!

Side Scrolling Saturday: Outland

Kicked off my weekend by playing Outland on my Steam Deck! It’s a fast paced side-scrolling platformer, where you learn to harness the power of light and dark to overcome obstacles and save the world yada yada yada. Also, it’s Linux native! Although you can run it in Proton if you’d like.

Just a Dream?

I purchased Dream Cycle awhile back during a sale, like many of the other games that I accumulate. 😛 Tonight seemed like a good evening to lose myself in Lovecraftian realms. I like the gameplay and the visuals, but I can tell this is optimized more for NVidia systems rather than AMD. I’m running the graphics on Epic in 4K, and it seems to stay in between the 40 and 60 FPS range. I’d play more, but I’m being called away to my own nightmare inducing visions. Heh, maybe I’ll fall asleep and end up there myself.

My Unreal Sunday Of Gaming

Made some progress in Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night! I discovered a secret lab, which contained secret monsters, and a clone of myself that needed to be defeated. I played this in between my Steam Deck and my Desktop – Cloud Saving FTW.

Then it was onto multiplayer activities! Yutram and I braved more Borderlands 2 DLC, and squared off against credits that were almost as long as the DLC itself. Actually, we’re still going through it, but we had credits forced down our throat before it was over because reasons. We did earn an achievement though, so that was something. I’m not sure if the collected footage will be of any value, but I’m currently saving it to one of my recording drives. I’ve already nearly filled one of them up again! That 4K footage just eats up even more room.
