Completed a side-op in MGSV in probably one of the more ridiculous ways possible. I chilled on a ladder, watched these lemmings trip over my head. It’s almost as fun as cardboard box sledding! I also abducted half a base (because why not),and blew up some comms equipment. Then I proceeded to wander around Afghanistan like a jackass.
I went from enjoying a relaxing game of MGSV last night (and even a bit today), to feeling really sore and nauseated right as I was going to bed. I’m feeling better now, mostly taking it easy. I captured the Honey Bee (again) and I’ve been doing side op’s ever since. Target practice (by running through all the targets), rescuing a sheep, people, destroying comms equipment and of course you can’t finish a game of MGSV without doing some cardboard box sledding. 😛
I’ll see what I can do on my current animation project… assuming that I feel better tomorrow. There has been a cloud of fog hovering around my head all day, which is slightly better than a cloud of fog hovering over your head while dealing with pain I guess.
Still lovin’ vacation lyfe! Went on a bit of a roadtrip involving amazing burgers and fresh air, opened awesome presents that I’ll need to write about when I’m not sleepy. I’ve been playing a lot of Japanese games lately; yesterday was a Yakuza: Like a Dragon day, and today I completed a couple of missions on MGSV:TPP! I forgot about the birthday wishes Easter egg, and was reminded after rescuing a prisoner. I’ve also been having fun planting C4 Stuffed animals on any COMMS equipment I pass by, makes for a rewarding distraction! 😛
Oh, and I have a new tablet on the way! Should make for a fun experiment!
Today was a “Fuck it I’m not feeling well” kind of day. So, instead of working on my current video project I installed this little beauty.
This is a model(s) replacement for D-Horse. Why ride around on a normal looking horse when you can let these guys cart you around?
Well, that’s enough for one weekend I guess. I’m just glad to have played this without any issues, and even with mods!
Happy Easter! I’ve been playing more with MGSV:TPP and modding; it’s actually just as easy under Linux as it is under Windows! I ran SnakeBite Mod Manager under Wine and added my mods back in; including some new ones. I rescued Miller, captured enough victims on my own base to develop a cardboard box, kidnapped hired a translator. etc. I was actually going to add another game to test under Linux, but the call to play this was far too strong to ignore. I’m really happy with the results!
Last week I had a fun time playing Yakuza Kiwami under Proton, and for this weekend I decided to revisit the idea of running Metal Gear Solid V: TPP under Proton. My last attempts took place when Proton was a shiny new toy to be played with, and MGSV:TPP didn’t really agree with it. You could load the game, but only the HUD was visible. This time around cutscenes played properly, it remained stable the entire session, and there was only one graphical glitch at the start of the game.
I’m currently running the game vanilla, but have plans to see if I can get modding to work properly. Overall I’m quite impressed!
Konami is really getting serious about their pachinko operation… damn.
It’s been awhile since I’ve checked in on The Ocelot Unit…
It would be funny if they also replaced all of Mother Base with Ocelot. All the way down to the platforms. :v:
