You Like Konami Games!

Took to my Steam Deck during another hot day, and decided to enjoy some Metal Gear Solid in the shade. Calling it quits tonight just before starting the Psycho Mantis battle. Managed a good couple of hours on Steam Deck, By the time I depleted the battery it was cool enough for me to switch over to the desktop.

As glad as I am that Konami did an official PC release – I do wish Konami added better graphic features for their emulator. In epsxe I had it looking a lot smoother and clearer, worthy of a 4K TV. Since I’m mostly playing this on Steam Deck though, it isn’t that big of a deal.

Like Clockwork

Time traveled back to an older game and made it through another chapter. I had to take a break after the clockwork rooms, started feeling motion sick from traversing all those spinning gears. Next time I play I’ll be playing the final chapter of the game – 5 levels in total, and the first one starting with a bossfight against the Jabberwock. It’s looking like I might actually finish this one, and possibly some time this year!

Kept You Waiting, Huh

Squared off against The Jaberwock tonight, and lucky for me he sucks at playing a game of Jacks. Then I navigated through one of the easiest mazes ever, it’s hard to get lost when you keep following all the enemies you haven’t killed yet.

Parking in Airborne Terror for now.  Looks like it’ll be fun. I thought I’d be getting pretty close to finishing, but I’ve looked up the list of levels and I have at least a few more sessions before reaching the end. Oh well… more to savor!

An Hour Of Alice

I NEED AN ADULT

Made it a couple levels further!I got abducted by The Mad Hatter, and now I have to find him and kick his ass. I did manage to find a deadly game of jacks. It made taking down new enemies really entertaining, you just have to make sure never to play with them alone… for reasons. I might pick up on it again tomorrow, have to call it an early night. At least I got some more animation done. 🙂 Will probably work more on that after work tomorrow as well.

The Inferno Awaits

tfw you arrive on the shores of hell and you find that it’s actually a corporate warehouse.

Completed Episode 2 of DOOM! (Again). Finding a lot of secrets that I missed what felt like centuries ago.

There’s just something nice about revisiting these old ones, something warming in the old graphics and music. Funny enough I used to play a lot of DOOM during the holidays, though part of that might be because of it releasing 30 years ago this month. 😀 More on that later…

A Double Fine Weekend

Yesterday it was Brutal Legend, and today I switched over to Grim Fandango Remastered! With actual progress! Made it out of the city and to the edge of the petrified forest.

I also nabbed several achievements! Now that I’m onto a whole other chapter I’ll definitely have to return to this universe sooner rather than later. I’ll also need to do a replay of this sometime in the future… I missed a couple achievements in the beginning. Oh well… that’s one way to achieve replay value.
