Where Lord of the Rings Meets Spinal Tap

I have a problem. I want to play games on my 4K Desktop, but when I go through my library my eyes have been landing games that make me think “This would be fun to play on my Steam Deck…” dammit!

Eddie meets his welcoming crew.

One thing I did find interesting about launching Brutal Legend on Steam Deck was that it launched with Proton instead of the native Linux build. For the heck of it I launched the native build, and it seemed alright apart from teleporting NPC’s in a couple of cutscenes, and it was getting a nice solid 30FPS. Not bad I’d say, right? Then I replayed the first chapter again through Proton and there were no teleporting models AND the framerate doubled! Translating it from Direct3D 9 to Vulkan instead of using the native OpenGL build seems to give it a nice boost! Pretty interesting since I’ve played this before under regular Linux desktop, that was quite awhile ago though.

Some guitar magic.

Maybe now I’ll actually finish this title! It supports cloud saves, that seems to be helping me in between devices.

Another Evening of Pirate Booty

Tell me I’m pretty, dammit.

Another successful adventure through the Wonderlands!

I unlocked an assassins mask (among other things), rolled some bones, TROLLED some bones, and freed a couple souls from their bones.

All in all a good evening! We even rounded out at Level 30! Good time to call it a night.

I Promise Not All Of My Vacation Will Involve The Yakuza

Made it to Chapter 11 after an accidental Kiwami 2 binge! This series is unlike anything I’ve ever played. It has a serious looking aesthetic, yet it has no problem throwing a Super Sentai Bus at you with its creative writing. Sometimes I go in just to play the minigames.

Originally I was going to get back to work on some animation, but I wasn’t feeling it and it’s always fun wandering the streets of any Yakuza game!

Another Unreal Adventure In Der Wunderlands

Yutram and I be lookin’ sooooooo fine.

Yutram and I managed to hook up for another adventure in the Wonderlands! We aided Queen Butt Stallion and became Heroes of Brighthoof!

This castle is simply fabulous!

We played for a few good hours, looting shooting and cycling between all kinds of different powers. I also have a pet dragon now… AWESOME!!!

Butt Stallion in all of her glory

I have nothing against Borderlands 3, but there’s something about Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands that really draws us in. Looking forward to the next play session!

Skyrim Spa Day

This will be my last video for awhile. It’s been a good run though! I’ve been consistently releasing videos since the middle of last year! So I’d say I deserve a little break, and to work on something more than just gameplay!

Until then, stay tuned for my next animated nightmare!
