TETRIS MULTIPLAYER!!!!!

2023 has proven to be a good year for getting through my ever expanding game library. Thanks to my Steam Deck I’ve been able to consistently pick up on games I’m trying to finish when I can’t be at a more stationary computer. It feels so strange… The future video for it could be fun. 🙂

So when going through the ol’ library tonight I also made sure to include games that have Remote Play enabled, and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 looked like a good thing to try over Remote Play. I played on keyboard and mouse, and Yutram played on Controller. We had a fun time trying all kinds of different modes, and proved we can both survive a little friendly competition… as long as we don’t add the CPU’s, fuck the CPU’s. We did a good job of murdering each other at competitive Tetris.

It worked so well that we might have to make this a thing again soon!

The All Mother of Open Threads

Finished a small quest tonight in HZD! Collected 4 Boar Skins and a Ring for a quest. Next time I play I’m poised to take down a couple Sawtooths. Most of my evening was spent configuring OBS to do a few things, building a couple a scenes and experimenting with some plugins – nerdy fun! I’ll probably work on a couple more scenes tomorrow – it makes for a good small break from all the video editing I’ve been doing.

Open Thread!

Familiar, Yet Different…

Made it to the third universe in Bloo Kid 2! It’s surprisingly challenging in some areas and will need another playthrough to get all the secrets. I also got it running on my Steam Deck, though I had to map it to keyboard controls for anything to play properly. I remember it always being a problem with controllers, though. Other than that it was nice to play on a small screen, another title to make my Steam Deck feel like a large Game Boy.

I made it three levels into Zombieland. I have to admit that the skull flowers are a nice touch to the atmosphere, good mood to end the evening on. I’ve made enough progress that I can take another break from it. 😛

Another Successful Adventure Completed

Another weekend begins, and another adventure comes to an end. I can add Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light to my finished games list – just have three achievements to find and I’ll be completely done with it! That I’ll have to save for another time. It’s installed on my Steam Deck for future achievement hunting, and the best moments have been caught on film! I already have a video planned to release in a couple weeks from now! Sadly it doesn’t feature any animation, but there are lots of explosions and other fun bugs, plus lots of falling into pits and spikes.

Here is a link to my Steam Review.

Who Wants To Stab a Millionaire?

Would have been funnier if The Millionaire was a Pachinko Machine, but it was fun fighting a One Arm Bandit, and even better watching it self destruct. This gets me to a little over 87% completion!

It’s been an Unreal weekend! Even the video I released today used Unreal! I think I’ll do something Source related tomorrow, like Portal Reloaded? I’ve been using a lot of swordplay and magic, gotta balance it out with some science!

Checking Out Ghostwire: Tokyo!

It’s Day Two of my Three day weekend, and I’ve been keeping it Unreal! I’ve had my eye on Ghostwire Tokyo for awhile now, and thanks to a recent sale I finally decided to pick it up! It runs really well at 4K, has stunning visuals, the Japanese voice acting is superb and so far the combat and stealth have been pretty easy to pickup on.

Step into the shoes of Akiro: Who has recently ceased to be due to a vehicle crash. You’re only alive because of a soul that tried to possess you, and the two of you team up together for a crazy night out on the town.

Your original goal was to visit your sister Mari in the hospital, and thanks to your new soul mate you do actually achieve that goal, kinda…

I’m currently on Chapter 2! Just unlocked access to a bunch of sidequests before saving to take a break. That’s another thing I like about this game; I can save at any point I want instead of relying entirely on checkpoints. My only complaint is the lack of a quickload/quicksave function, but everything else in the game makes up for that one shortcoming. Oh, and there’s Photo Mode! If a game has Photo Mode that’s already a win-win.

That’s One Hot Dinosaur

We made it a few more levels into Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light! Together we solved a few challenge tombs, and died everywhere else over and over again in a variety of comical ways that may hopefully provide some potential footage! There’s also a sliiiiight chance that we might have also solved areas in ways we weren’t supposed to… I’ll have to look up some gameplay footage just to compare. 😛

It’s looking like we’re not far from finishing the game. I only have a few more achievements to get and then I can add another one to my completed list! It feels so strange finally being able to say that I’m actually finishing some of these games. Between my Steam Deck and our Weekend Jam sessions I’ve been completing a large selection of stories, and setting myself up for plenty of new ones. More pics can be found over on Mastodon!

Flying Deep Into The Purple

I came sooooo close to conquering all 10 zones tonight! Oh well… on the bright side this is the furthest I’ve made it so far. Give it a few hundred more deaths and I’ll get it! Tonight’s run had all the fixin’s; chain lightning deaths, siphoning energy from destroyed enemy ships, such upgrades, much enemy destruction!

See you, Space Cats.
