All in an Overlord’s day

Today was yet another beautiful day. So this afternoon after I got off work I went for a walk around town. Picked up yet another Oriental teacup for my collection, some Egyptian tea and some key lime soda.

I’ve been futzing around in gmod and other places, just goofing off and thinking of ideas for my next video.I have some ideas, I might even do a L4D campaign review and see how that goes.

It’s been almost a month since I’ve posted a blog entry. Mostly due to apathy and work. I’m doing a temp job ordering bread for a couple weeks until we find a new person. Then I can get back to my regular schedule.

I installed Adobe Audition 3.0.1 the other day. Very neat little program. I also downloaded a couple plugins to run with it. Can’t wait to edit audio for future videos. I think it has everything from echo to robotics.

I visited Myst Online Uru Deathmatch the other day and met a couple people. I was amazed to see people using voice chat. I was among some new comers. and I had a good time. I went in again today but it wasn’t as fun.

Wake up in the afternoon

Put clothes on

Make bed

Wash wok

Go out and chat with neighbors

Make fun of the dumb children stealing from another neighbors apple tree

Make a stir fry

Go back and have a few wines

Kill zombies

Test new model (previous post)

Go back and drink more wine after we all had dinner

Come back up and do straight shots of B52’s.

End of day.

I worked a full day today. One thing that’s more apparent than ever is that the holiday season be it the 4th of july or Christmas will always bring the stupid out in people. Oh well, I’ll be closing tomorrow night at the store. People will be watching the fireworks and hopefully far away from me. That’s not nearly as fun as making your own explosion.

On the bright side I’ll be making double and a half of what I normal make, the only other downer is that I’ll have to go to bed the moment I get home just to rest for more work the next day. Gotta love corporate America…

Tonight I got to have some of my homemade sauce on a steak sandwich. Man was it spicy, the way I like it…

Well, guess I’ll rest for hell…

It’s amazing… I actually have 2 days off in a row. I spent today sleeping in till 3pm, made a couple sauces in the kitchen, cleaned my bedroom because I started to feel claustrophobic, and then the laundry had to be done. Then I rewarded myself with a zombie killing spree.

Later today my laptop cooler will be arriving. I’m looking forward to it. My new laptop gets hot enough to fry eggs! The sticker on the bottom of it is already scorched from all the gaming I’ve been running it through. I’m thinking after the pad arrives I’ll finally setup my RAID array.

Oh, and if you find that the website (not the blog but my forum) keeps dying, it’s because our fucking internet connection keeps randomly dying once in awhile. It’s becoming more consistent as of late. And it annoys the crap out of me, especially when I’m trying to play Steam games with my family and friends.

Real life and work have been keeping me busy. I’ve been working swing shift ever since starting my new job. I love those kind of hours. They’ve even been kind enough to give me Saturdays off so far! And I don’t really lose any hours, actually I’ve been gaining more hours.

Yesterday I said farewell to Princess Barbie. My best friend of 7 years has moved to Alaska with her boyfriend who is in the coast guard. I really do wish them both the best of luck over there.

And now back to gaming!

I started my new job the other day. So far it’s working out real well. I’m indoors now and I’m working swing shifts! So if you’re in irc I’m currently exclusive to Europeans. I’m loving it though. I get to sleep in, go to work and enjoy the rest of my night after getting off. They’re also giving me weekends once in awhile.

Today was my day off, sorta… It was supposed to be Tuesday but I somehow got my days crossed and went to work, luckily I caught that mistake the next day so I wouldn’t be late… So they gave me today off. Which was nice because it was actually sunny for a change.

Tonight I went out and had a beer and some pizza with PB, next week her and her boyfriend are moving to Alaska. I’m gonna miss them.

For the last 2 days off I’ve been relaxed. I cleaned up shop a little and did a little cooking, tonight I accomplished getting sourcemod working on my L4D2 server.

Things seem to be going too right lately…

4 day weekend is here! Lets see if I can keep myself entertained. Last night we had a power outage, all our devices are safe since we keep them on backups. In fact, the TV’s and computers kept the house lit long enough for us to dig out candles and lanterns. Talk about being prepared.

And the tuxedo meow is still with us. We have decided to call him Freddy the freeloader. Also.

Worked on my taxes today. Looks like I’ll be getting a refund this year from both the gov and the state. Yaaaay.
