Cutting Off More Than I Can Show

The good news is that I finished putting the video together! The bad news is that in doing so I’ve uncovered a problem during editing; the video is too fucking short. The third Bayonetta video is about two and a half minutes total in length after editing out excess footage. This leaves me with no choice but to shelve the project until some other conditions are met first. That doesn’t mean the video is dead or anything, but it won’t be releasing this year. But hey, there are already the first two next month plus one on November (and hopefully December if I don’t go too insane).

Project Diary: Sweet Success

Finished rendering in After Effects tonight. Tomorrow I’ll focus on adding it to the main project; and possibly doing some voice recording tomorrow. If I only have just the ending to take care of when I get back I’ll stand a good chance of having it done by or around Halloween.

Don’t worry… next week you won’t have to hear about any of this. 😛

Remaining On Target For October

I don’t want to break my arm to pat my own back, but… I got a lot done with the video today! I got the SFM  animations finished, and I’ve got everything in place for some work in After Effects tomorrow. After that comes assembly, and of course scheduling a time to record voice lines. I will need to go back into SFM to re-render something with a greenscreen, but that won’t take too long… or at least it shouldn’t. I’m still kind of surprised that I’ve moved through this so quickly. Rendered two things, compiled them in Shotcut, and ready to process in After Effects. It’s amazing what a little practice can do!

SFM Diary: The Spirit Of Video

I animated a couple of scenes tonight, even got to play around with some particles! and lighting! October is around the corner, and I’m cutting it close trying to finish this before then. I have a couple more scenes in this stage to put together, and I would need to animate Yutram’s, plus there’s still some voice recording that we need to do for the end. Finishing this before the end of October will be a close one, but at the same time I’m happy with how fast I’m starting to move in between scenes. This will come in handy since I’ll be away from this stuff for a couple of weeks! 😀

Animating Nightmare Fuel

I finished calculating how much livestream audio I will be working with; about 27 seconds overall. The animation might not remain in that timeframe though, depending on what shenanigans unfold. 😛 I did manage to get a bit of animation done on my character, with one scene almost being done. I think I’m finally getting enough mental muscle memory to navigate in between programs and moving characters to keep a good pace. I’m not going to get overconfident though… I’m currently in overdrive mode until vacation begins (excluding the weekends to do other things).

I’m happy enough with what I’ve done to get some much needed rest after another day of paid exercise and verbal abuse.

Evening Open Thread

It was nice to have the sun wake me up this morning, and to wake up to some leftover breakfast quinoa and multiple cups of tea throughout the day. I’m all refreshed and ready to take on another stress inducing week head first. I was even productive today and finished rendering the first part of the second part of my Bayonetta video project! I’ll start on the second part tomorrow night and see how far I can get on that little adventure.

An Annoying Robot And A Cursed XBox Walk Into A Bar… Somehow

I’m almost done on the ending for the BL2 video! I’ll tweak it a bit more and then it should be good to render. I might even be able to finish it tomorrow! It’d be nice to have another one canned and ready to go, then it’ll be onto the next monstrosity. 😛

Open Mood Thread

I didn’t get much time to really do much on my project. I’ve been fighting the Doctors to try and get my damned MRI scheduled, and work was full of a bunch of Karens and Kevins that would make even the most upbeat person want to slit their wrists. I hope the rest of the work week isn’t like this… I’m already having to work an extra day to cover for someone else’s vacation.

Bringing My Nightmares To Life One Frame At A Time

Finished rendering this just a bit ago. Tomorrow I’ll start animating one more scene, and then I can finally look at wrapping this project up! … or at least Part 1. 😛 The last bit of animation will probably take me a few weeks to complete, then maybe I can take a break and work on a sideproject before continuing onto the next Bayonetta vid.
