Animation Diary: Yes, there is still a couch…

I finally found some time to do a little proper SFM. It’s a slow process being made even slower by day to day life. I might even be able to tackle it a bit more tomorrow, maybe actually finish a scene. It would be nice to release these sometime this year… We’re already looking at July and I haven’t even published a video, damn you real life and having to feed myself!

Anyone else have some projects they want to share/vent about?

Animation Diary: It Gives You Wings

I’ve been making some serious progress on the Skyrim Part 4 video. I’ve rendered a couple scenes, and I’m covering quite a bit of ground in what I would call the “main scene” which I’ve estimated to be about 90 seconds worth of animation, and I’m currently 20 seconds in. Yutram and I have already gone over Part 3, and we can’t wait to release it! I just want to finish Part 4 first so that we can have a consistent release between the two parts, and then I can go on to work on another set of videos for Broforce, fortunately that will only be a two parter by the looks of it.

The Crash Bandicoot Intro That Never Was

This was another treasure I found while surfing the nerdier parts of YouTube awhile back, and I thought about it again today while playing Crash during my lunch break. Just think; Somewhere in an alternate universe this would have been the intro and outro for the original Crash Bandicoot game… The production quality is actually quite good, to the grade of even being a Saturday Morning cartoon, and they even got Jim Cummings to sing it! But it wouldn’t have meshed well with the game being a 3D platformer.

Yes this is still going on

I’m just as confused as you are.

I didn’t really touch SFM much last week… however I did manage to make it up a little over the weekend, and these last few days I’ve made more progress on animation. Tonight I mainly focused on refining some of the already existing project animation and played with camera placement, something that I still think I need to work on for my material in general. I’ve been paying closer attention to camera work in commercials, movies, you name it. Just to get ideas for how to handle certain scenes on the off chance I need something a little more cinematic.

I’ll be happy when I finally get this finished.

Skyrim Video Project Update

I spent tonight’s SFM session on animating still. What I really need to do is record some solo voice lines to add to the scene; However due to real life reasons I haven’t had a chance. I’m hoping later this week or the upcoming weekend I’ll be able to do so, among other things. In the meantime I’ve been focusing on trying to improve some animations in other scenes, smoothing things out, additional scene dressing, that kind of thing. I have decided to cut some of the dialogue as it seemed a little too long winded for the situation we’re in, and will attempt to recycle what we cut for future projects.

I have no picture to share this time, so have a melon instead. :melon:

The Best Worst Animated Bits Of 2019

This has been a fun year for making game pr0n. There will be more to come in the new year, but I will be taking a hiatus for a bit to get caught up again and take care of a few other projects. I’m aiming at February at the very latest, mid January being the soonest.

Stay tuned for other stuff.

Another Film In The Can

I finally finished another video! I had a couple private viewings and the consensus is that it’s good enough for release, it can be expected to release next month. Now to set plans in motion for the second installment, that one might be a faster piece to work on… it depends. I haven’t figured out how much of it I want to animate, if at all. It’s one of those videos that’s weird enough to possibly stand on its own, though at the very least I may discuss an ending. I might even release it before the one I just finished if I can put it together in time.

I can sleep on the rest.

Late Night Weekend Open Thread

I got together with Yutram today and we hit the Gmod Cinema together to watch a few things, that would normally be too shameful to take outside of the basement, but we wanted to sit some place comfy. I also worked on some SFM posters:

I made a few posters in SFM afterwards. This one is going to be the thumbnail for the upcoming videos, those will be released in late November and early December… so I wasn’t lying when I said it would be before Christmas! In the meanwhile I’ve been readying myself for the upcoming Skyrim project. All my animation ideas have been jotted down, and I’ve already done a small bit of scene prep.

I’m long overdue for calling it a night, damn imagination…

Cool the engines

I’ve officially finished up my videos! I will be releasing them next month, in the meantime I’ll start prepping for the first portion of the Skyrim saga. The first livestream session I’m picking through merits about four separate videos worth, already went through and wrote down a list of goofy things to animate for each one.

Tomorrow I’ll do a tiny bit of SFM, but I think I’ve earned a game break. I’ve been working on these videos ever since getting back from the trip, and I think I’ve earned some playtime. For now I’m just doing a little rearranging of some of my recordings before hitting the sack, making room for possibly more tomorrow. On the off chance that I do stream I’ll try and pick something Halloween themed, or at the very least mod a game into a Halloween utopia.

Your votes make a difference! Here are the results.

Thank you all for participating! Our winner appears to be Skyrim, with Broforce at a close 2nd and Crash Bandicoot in 3rd somehow. Then of course we have a three way tie for 4th between Okami, Shantae and Serious Sam; also there seems to be no love for Borderlands the Presequel or Deadpool… DaFuq? You guys could have had Yutram and I plotting to do something unspeakable to Claptrap and you mates fucking blew it! But regardless your votes are always appreciated, that info will keep me busy for quite awhile. :melon:

In fact here’s how I’m going to do things; I will work on one of my Skyrim sessions first, work one one of the Broforce sessions, and then the Crash Bandicoot Trilogy. Somewhere down the line I’ll hold another vote to try and pinpoint what to do next… something tells me Skyrim will be on that list for all eternity.

Right, back to work then.
