Evening Open Thread

Spent my final day off relaxing in my PJ’s and continuing my animation. I’ve still got a bit to go, but it’s looking like a week or two to finally wrap it up. I can’t wait! On another note: I’ve been looking at some stuff to spruce up my living space, but need to do more research before I make any real commitments. It’ll be out of this world though once I get it figured out.

Moonless Full Moon

Last night would have been perfect for taking a picture of the moon. It was big, full, and provided a nice silver light on a cozy candle lit evening. It was late though, and my body didn’t want to leave the covers that were slowly pulling me away from consciousness. I was wanting to make up for it this evening, but I was greeted with fog instead. Instead you’ll have to witness a snippet from the “Operation Batman Diary” portion of my project.

On a lighter note, tomorrow is my Friday! I have a food related shopping spree planned, and a relaxing weekend to look forward. I’ll take anything I can get to detox myself of the wretched Karen’s and Cleatus’ that plague our realm of reality. I might play something lighthearted tomorrow — I haven’t played anything since my Okami romp.

Useful Video About Fixing Masks

If by chance you’re like me and still using masks (allergies, the second coming of omicron, whatever), and you pop off the rubber grommet on one of your straps — this video miiiight come in handy:

I had a couple masks that had their grommets pop off in the wash recently, and within a few seconds I was able to fix that problem! All thanks to this video!

From The Overlord’s Corner

Continuing to inch forward on “Operation Batman Diary” with success…? I’m thinking another week or two will be spent on this before adding it to the final composition. Aside from SFM work I did go through Part 1 of my wardrobe getting rid of things. I put together a tiny pile of things I’ve barely even used, and I’m going to see if a couple friends of mine want them. No sense throwing perfectly good things away if I can give them a good home. I’m sure I’ll have more to add, but I’ll save that for another weekend.

Otherwise I’ll probably accumulate so much junk that I’d have to deliver it via treasure chest. 😛

Cherry Blossoms On The Brain

One of my fave blogs to read is SoraNews24 when I want to read about all things Japan. Lately, they’ve been filling my RSS feed with tantalizing images of cherry blossom inspired beverages and desserts, usually from their Starbucks. They are very inspirational to look at, especially during the gray winter. I even had to treat myself after work today to a homemade Sakura Latte! With whipped cream even! I also have some cherry blossom syrup for teas, and for sakura sake. I might consider making a cherry blossom themed food substance over the weekend.

No Wonder I’m Always Tired

Ever since purchasing my PineTime Smart Watch I’ve been keeping track of my steps. I seem to range anywhere between 15k to 20k, usually in the hundreds on the weekends. Today ended at 18,974 steps. I didn’t really think I did a lot of moving around, at least until monitoring my tracks.

ALL HAIL THE GLOW CLOUD

One of my work buddies recently introduced me to a podcast I had never heard of before, and given the subject matter I’m surprised I haven’t heard of it sooner. It’s called Welcome to Night Vale; A podcast that takes place in an imaginary desert town where things are not quite what they seem, for lack of a better term…

The podcast is basically just a half hour radio show from a fictional town called Night Vale. The host of the show talks about strange oddities and rituals going on throughout the local community as if they were day to day mundane routines. The first episode announces a local dog park, and warns listeners that dogs are not allowed in the dog park, and people are not allowed in the dog park. Later on a few episodes down you meet a giant sentient glow cloud that everyone is afraid of, and eventually it joins the PTA. I think I’m currently on Episode 7? I’ve been listening to the playlist while working on some digital projects. 😛
