Ruining It For Everyone Else Since 2004
Been keeping myself busy the last few days (and sometimes drunk). All in all it’s been a good weekend. So I’m going to do something special this week on the blog and post a picture of myself everyday (or try to) to show off my ugly arse and how fashionable it is.
Since I work with clothes people ask me what the latest trends are… the fuck would I care? I wear whatever the hell I want. Even if it’s Chinese pants with a flowering blue top, blue flower and a blue necklace.
I seriously have no words for this. It writes itself.
Earlier this week a Target shopper sparked a controversy on Twitter after discovering that the same gray dress was listed as “Manatee Gray” in the plus-size version and simply “Heather Gray” in the “Missy” category. The company is now scrambling to apologize for the snafu, saying it uses the manatee color name all over the site. That makes us wonder — what other totally inappropriate and/or wacky color names are floating around out there?
Manatee gray. Because that’s what it looks like when these ladies put it on. 
Actually they should be flattered. They say the story of mermaids originally came from manatees. So actually the dress is complimenting them! 
Everything was cool last night. Work went well, there was Chinese takeout when I got home, I made raspberry custard for dessert, and I kicked ass in TF2. I also picked out all of the clothes for the week. I think I might have to cut back on my food consumption though, some things I haven’t worn in a long time have gotten tighter than they should be, it isn’t much but I can notice it. It shouldn’t be that hard to curb, after all I’ve done it before. I just need to plan my snacks and lunches better. Maybe even start bringing brewed tea to work again which I’ve been meaning to anyway.
I’ve already been trying to walk more on my days off when the weather is actually nice (rare these days). And since my new line of work isn’t nearly as strenuous as my previous jobs I may have to look into a personal exercise plan. I’ve been meaning to buy a new bike all year but the weather just hasn’t been good enough ride in as constantly as I used to.
Ok, for those of you who were wondering what the password protected post was about, it was a Serious Sam recording I did for the “Just a gaming blog YouTube channel.” Since linking it through steam didn’t let them download it properly, I had to send them a link to some place where they could save the link target. I also figured while I was at it I would fuck with the people who read this blog. 😛 Mission accomplished!
Anyways work was boring tonight. The only excitement I had was offering fashion advice. Yes, me giving fashion advice. I had a couple of ladies ask me opinions about tops and purses. The purse one had to be weird. This lady was trying to choose between two plastic totes and wanted to know which one looked more expensive (because cheap plastic tote bags look REAL fancy) and I had to come up with something to say. Having watched improv almost my whole life has given me the ability to have an answer to almost any question. Being right or not is a whole other story… One bag was just a pink stripe with big polka dots, the other was a white and silver bag with a nice print to it. So I told her the silver one would look more expensive. Just because people tend to associate metallic colors with expense. She agreed with me…
Then there was one lady who kept bringing me tops and asking me what ones looked good on her. That one was the easiest seeing as all I had to do was look at the top and then look at her hair and skin tone. Either way she was very happy with my answers… I wonder if this was also because I watched those back to school fashion videos on youtube just for the lulz.
Now, having been proclaimed the king/queen of style, I have changed my methods of wardrobe selection. These days I do this ahead of time so I won’t have to worry about it:
I just randomly pick tops that will do the job, find a pair of pants to go with them, then fold them up and pick out the proper accessories to go with the outfits. Then when I wake up I just roll out of bed and pick whatever I have on top. Today I kept it simple with a Hawaiian shirt, Hawaiian jewelery, and black slacks.
You know if I weren’t hiding behind my characters I could do some fashion stuff for youtube to bring in some fappers. But that’s fucking boring.
I like being mysterious like that.

I try to keep one outfit ready for the next day. By doing this I eliminate the “wtf should I wear” factor and can look nice in a short amount of time.
I’ve got my trousers, top, hair accessory and jewelery at the ready. Just have to wake up to put it on.
Didn’t have much to post last night. Work was basically work. Shot some things in TF2 and played a bit of that nexus demo. I’m thinking of recording a hi res version of it since the one video I saw of it was very very small.
Didn’t break the red challenge yet, almost did though because it was sunny out but that didn’t mean it was warm… So I stuck with my red sweater followed by warm red PJ’s in the evening. Now I’ve gone with this for today.
Blue jean mini skirt, black skirt pants, white spaghetti strap tank top with built in fiberglass bra and a red long sleeved dress shirt to top it off. With of course red earrings and a beaded necklace. The necklace isn’t in the shot. I threw it on at the last minute.
This puts me on day 4 of the red challenge.
I’m gonna try and beat my record for how long I can go before wearing something that isn’t red. So far I’ve had 2 weeks on my last record, time to see if I can beat it!
Today’s red items were a pair of sterling silver earrings with red coral, and a red muscle shirt. Tonight is red flannel PJ’s.
Let teh gamez begin!
Went with dark flowers, sterling silver with black opals and the shark tooth necklace from Hawaii. People ask me all the time where the tooth came from, so I tell them one day a customer bit me in the ass.
Now if they would just believe me…
