So there has been this local loon going around lately spouting off political randomness to us at work, mainly about how we need to get rid of rich people who are fucking up the country, and how Reich translates into wealth (dafuq?), and apparently Germany is still nazi land according to this insufferable twatwaffle. He even asked my co-worker Bayonetta-man about working in Germany, to which he replied that yeah, he’d like to go there… and then he proceeded to call him a nazi and declare that the entire town is full of them. Fucking Sphincter Gurgling Christ what the seven hells is wrong with us… :rick:

I don’t know about anyone else, but I never really hear anything pertaining to nazi’s in modern day Germany. Does that make me a nazi? I’m only one quarter German, and that makes me one quarter offended. Dammit, now I want to play Wolfenstein II again…

On a lighter note I’ve been working on a video, ran into another audio problem. This time my mic and mumble audio were recorded but nothing from the game itself can be heard. I still plan to release it, but I think I’ll have to give it some more polish and a touch of zazz. I’ll probably work on it more tomorrow after work. I have a short shift which means my weekend will be starting early. :v:

Today I told my fellow co-worker about my exploits through MGSV, and I mentioned how funny it was to practice CQC on your staff and see the following dialogue:

Then he had to tell me that of course they were happy to be manhandled by Big Boss, and that he’d even love to be in the same position. Mind you, the guy I’m talking to is practically a male clone of Bayonetta. Add onto that my bizarre imagination and access to a computer and you get this:

I’m not kidding, he has a similar hairstyle. Another one of my co-workers and I keep trying to convince him to wear high heels for us and he keeps refusing. Not because he doesn’t want to, he just can’t walk in them. :v:

Every time I work with him it’s another adventure. I almost feel like making illustrations of our encounters… :melon:

Open Thread

I don’t have much to post about tonight. I’m a little too beat after today, and the last six days. Tomorrow will be the last of my eight day work week, ugh. Then I’ll get a day off, go back to work, get another day off, go back to work…. then have two days off in a row. It also hasn’t helped that I’ve been sick most of the day. I think when I get home tomorrow I’ll probably slip into a coma. I should do that now, also too.

For Christmas I get the next couple of days off. I had to work today, but went in a couple hours early (huge freight load) which I was happy about, the last couple of weeks have been unbearable with last minute shoppers who get easily outraged that we’re out of something. There was even someone who was aggravated that we weren’t open on Christmas day, or open all of Christmas eve… God forbid allowing us one fucking day a year to be with our friends and family on a holiday. Meh, I’m sure one of these days it’ll be taken away from us too like the other holidays. Only a matter of time…

I have a nice collection of gifts I’ll be unwrapping gifts tomorrow, and I’ll be in good company. Plus steak and lobster will be made, one of the few Christmas traditions we have upheld is the annual steak and lobster. I don’t have a tree to put my presents under, but that’s ok because I have a bookcase made of wood… so I hope that counts.

Open Thread

Once again I wasn’t able to record any gameplay, mostly because I was stuck talking to an idiot during my lunch hour. I did manage to play still while he talked about himself for about 45 minutes. He did ask me my opinion on what I thought of the new Final Fantasy game though, I told him this video pretty much mirrored my opinion. Then he proceeded to talk about the other Final Fantasy games and what he thought about each and every one of them.

Work overall was pretty busy. I can’t wait for Christmas! Then it’ll all be over…

That time of the year again

There was going to be a Vlog today, but Bioshock Infinite kept crapping out whenever I tried to Alt+Tab to set it up in OBS classic. I’ll try to aim for next Thursday or Friday, possibly both if I have enough time.

Speaking of time, there was none today. We received a ton of Black Friday freight on top of regular freight that had to be broken down. I remember last year and even earlier this year when a freight load was this large I was either scheduled or requested to come in early. But due to our shrinking numbers in people and hours that seems to be impossible, much like finishing up today. It was impossible, especially with every Tuesday being Geriatric Tuesday until Christmas.

That of course brought in some interesting people persons. There was one old man that grabbed a screen protector for an iPhone 6 and thought it was an iPhone. Another one wanted to know which iPhone case worked for her Samsung Galaxy Sky, and there were others. Between the excessive amount of merchandise and the constant traffic with a bare bones staff it just kind of ate at me. I can’t wait until Christmas just to get this damned stuff over with.

As hectic as work has been lately it felt nice to sit down to some Skyrim today. I’m back in Solsthiem searching for caves I haven’t encountered yet during this playthrough. Got my hands on the magic spiders and even crafted some of my own. The lightening and oil spiders are my favorites, though all of them are great to send to kill enemies. The blue goblins are also quite formidable against quite a few people. I saw a pack of them take down my Dremora lord. Of course I put them all in their place with my electrical crossbow. 😛 The ones that randomly appear when I’m in danger have been handy, enough to the point of me keeping one around as a follower. I have no regrets about becoming goblin queen, though given my current circumstances it still weirds me out.

This week and next week might be a little hectic for me. I have split days off both weeks, some of the customers have been entertaining me with their blatant stupidity though. I don’t know which was better… The lady looking for a case for their iPhone Galaxy 6 or the guy that wanted to know if all of our laptops came preinstalled with the bible… Work has been dragging me down and I think the 18 hours of sleep I awoke from this morning might be a sign. This whole time I still don’t consider myself a morning person, and the changes they’ve been making in our department would be great if we were all scheduled accordingly. But since we’re spreading ourselves thinner and thinner while also looking into laying off a couple more people I’m not sure how this is going to play out.

Yesterday I came from work and BS’d with the usual cast of characters for a few hours, only to get a couple phone calls for extra hours at work. So I ended up working on my day off today, tomorrow I have a full day, and next week I’m covering someone else out for a doctor’s appointment. I sure went from free time to high demand. Oh well, more money in my pocket.

Speaking of money I handed in the laptop, they were quite impressed with it. They might even be sending some more work my way in the future. With the holidays coming around it’ll be a big help. I’m trying to stay on top of gifts this year, making sure everyone gets their stuff on time. It was always difficult in the past when I worked evenings because the post office closes so damned early.

Survived another day of work, spent most of the day feeling really sick. Mostly read forums and websites followed by a nap when I got home. Still not feeling too well. Hopefully when I wake back up in a bit for work I’ll feel better. I’ve been partitioning my sleep again. Not intentionally, that’s just how it’s turning out. I have a doctors appointment on my next day off which will just be a regular checkup. I look forward to finding out how fucked up I am. 😛 Well, more than what’s already known…
