Busy day is busy

Worked a lot of freight today, helped a lot of people, got home, worked on doctors website, ate, worked on doctors website, rinse, repeat… Man I’m tired. 😛

I know, not much of a post… I actually do have some stuff to write about but WordPress kept me busy for the remainder of my day, I’ll try tomorrow if I’m not entirely comatose. Fortunately I got most of the tedious work done, now I just have to focus on theme searching. I already have a few examples downloaded, probably play with them when I get off work tomorrow.

It’s almost over…

In less than ten hours I can finally put an end to this shit-tastic holiday. The majority of the last minute Christmas shoppers have been just insufferable pricks in large numbers. So large in fact that we can’t get anything done. This could be dealt with if they had more than four cashiers scheduled downstairs and not calling other departments to fill in the gaps. This lead to me running literally the entire upstairs alone again. I kept my cool though and probably made some of the cashiers rage a bit though, everytime they needed help over the phone I was already helping a customer, then another customer, then another. Sometimes I had them waiting on the phone for up to 20 minutes. One finally said “Is there anyone else you can direct me to since you’re busy?” and I said “Yeah! They’re all checking!”. Oh that was such a small but excellent pleasure.

I should be going to bed right now, but there’s no way in hell I can instantly go from getting home to going straight to bed. I need to unwind first.

Best day I’ve had in awhile!

Well, aside from my morning shift (still groggy from that and may pass out after dinnerbreakfast), I bought a new laptop, 2 1TB 7200 RPM drives AND made it into the Steam Linux beta! So I might have to download the latest Ubuntu ISO later on to prepare, either that or wait for my new gaming system to arrive. I’ll post specs about it later when I’m less tired.

On another note I have a couple SFM things in the pipeline. One of them being my latest dream from last night. I think I’ll start on that one first.

Gonna go read up on some stuff now.

Early Evening Open Thread

Work was pretty quiet. I got a lot done. Didn’t sleep on the job, etc. Although now that I’m home I’m tempted to take a nap. The sun’s gone down, my eyelids are heavy, the smell of turkey cooking is helping to put me in the mood.

On another note I went through my collection of tags and got rid of an assload that were hardly getting used. Took it down from 36 pages to an entire 9. Next project will be the categories.

Open Thread

Been taking care of my cold. Thanks to some zicam tablets I have managed to get my throat to calm down. Now if I could get my ears to pop I’d be in good shape. I’m actually surprised I’m still awake too. I’ve been zombified the entire night and enjoying some lemon ginger tea with honey.

Working during the morning to evening reminded me why I hate mornings. The anal retentive asshats are always awake at that hour. It also didn’t help that I’ve gotten 7 hours of sleep in the last two days, so I had to seriously act like I was enjoying myself. I had this big rant planned and everything to write. But somewhere along the way I lost the muse to write it. I think I’ll save it for another day and hit the rack a bit earlier than usual.

On a happier topic I got my laptop colorized for tomorrow. I’ll probably just stay upstairs since I plan to bring a big lunch. Coconut chicken, rice and a spicy cucumber salad. With a nice green kimono top to go with the theme. 😛

I slept for 11 hours. After last night at work I was royally exhausted. Good thing I have a 3 day weekend!!!

Came home last night and watched Black Dynamite The Movie. If you haven’t seen it, WATCH IT!!! It’s fucking hilarious. I love the cartoon too. It took everything from the 70’s and just went overboard with blaxploitation and Kung Fu. I was actually expecting it to be just a half hour special but nope! Full length feature film, camera work was well done too. I couldn’t find one single thing wrong. The clothing, cars and filmwork were spot on.
