Introducing A New Family Member!

I’d like you all to meet Chuckie! He’s been jumping around all over the place, and he can’t stop dancing! He came from the same litter we were supposed to adopt Archie from, basically a lighter orange twin but without the floppy ears. Still quite the extremely cute bugger. He’s already climbing over barriers and causing a ruckus! 😛 Stewie and Morty haven’t warmed up to him yet, as expected. In time though I’m hoping Morty realises that Chuckie is just as playful as he is, and Stewie won’t target Morty as often.

Late Night Open Thread

I don’t have much to write. Just enjoying some green chai and eggnog, all the while working on some animation. I still have a bit to go, but next December’s videos are coming along quite nicely! I’m working on the third installment currently, and there will probably be a fourth. I’m actually moving along at a decent rhythm. I’ll probably be done with this particular saga by the end of the year, just in time to start on another project(s)! I’m planning to return to working on the Amnesia one, which is appropriate because I forgot where I left off on that particular one! Fortunately, I kept notes before moving onto the more wintery stuffs.

Future Plans For Future Me

Sometime in the not too distant future I will be upgrading my Linux servers, both my webserver and my game servers. I’m currently running all of my servers on CentOS 7, which is getting its support dropped at the end of the year along with CentOS 8. I could upgrade to CentOS Stream, but it updates far too frequently for me to run it as a server distro. So far I’m leaning towards switching to AlmaLinux — I should be able to follow the same procedures used to setup CentOS 8 to get everything back up and running on new builds. I’m prepping to do the webserver first, so if anyone happens to see a blank void where a website once stood, fret not. I will always return in the evening to complain about dependency hell.

Awakening Only To Sleep

When the weekend came I pretty much potato’d out of existence. I started out having breakfast and doing some stuff around the house, as is tradition, but was willed back to sleep. Between the rain and having to work a tiring week my body just didn’t want to do very much. I did sprawl out and finish my first playthrough of Yakuza Kiwami, and have begun on the sequel! So far I’m enjoying it! I played a little less than an hour’s worth tonight, and spent a few hours on the couch enjoying it as a cinematic experience!

I did manage to gift wrap most of the swag I’m sending out, but I ran out of wrapping paper! I’ll just have to pick some up tomorrow while I’m out, among other items. Other than that I spent the evening prepping something in SFM for tomorrow, rendering video, and some Krita photoshopping. All in all it has been a productive evening.

Khristmas With The Karens

I’m planning to do some gift wrapping this weekend, and (hopefully) send it out next week — waiting on an international package of mystery, uh hut.

This has been kind of a suck blogging week for me. The holiday season is just draining me endlessly with all the Christmas Karens’ and Cleatuses’ doing their Christmas Karening. I’ve only been able to keep my spirits up with chai-nog, watermelon power, and of course some of the dank shit after a long hard day of not punching overgrown children. After all… some of the Karens’ I’ve dealt with for what feels like an eternity have met their unvaccinated demise this year, and probably more to follow. Perhaps if enough of the antivaxxer’s die we’ll stop spreading it around and creating new mutations.

It’s pretty easy if you think about it… I could either encourage someone to wear a mask/get the jab and risk getting some new body piercings, or I could just let them fuck around and find out like so many others.

But for now; I’ll tell them about keeping COVID away via ghost pepper/habenero enemas. I’ve been thinking of floating that one around to a few choice people I know just to see what results I might get back! :v
