Just been traveling today, nothing special. I’ll be back in my home timezone tomorrow. I’ll be heading to Washington state to see more vaccinated family! Been enjoying some local Italian dining, we ordered plenty of spaghetti and salad to keep us tied over until tomorrow. I hope everyone is doing alright, and staying safe. I’ve been doing my best to avoid people, and being introverted makes it pretty damn easy.

I was getting ready to head out to visit vaccinated family when I noted my DOOM shirt in the mirror changes to MOOD. So DOOM truly is its own mood.
Everything went well tonight. We’ll be leaving Billings tomorrow morning, sadly there were no Chuck Tingle sightings. I guess I’ll just have to try again next year. 😛
Made it into Billings today! I’ll be visiting vaccinated family tomorrow; I only found out today that my uncle, who I’ll be visiting tomorrow, had a heart attack last Tuesday. He sounded really tired when we called him up today to let him know we’re in town. Something tells me we will be taking it very easy with him tomorrow, and given he’s 97 there really is no hurry.
On a brighter note I can cross off eating Chipotle off my bucket list. It isn’t as good as the authentic stuff at home, but it’s waaay better than Taco Bell. They make really good fast mexican food; my only complaint would be the amount of salt they use. I had a taco salad with grilled steak. I crumbled their homemade tortilla chips and poured some of their hot sauce over it, and it was quite nom. As someone who has a PHD in hot sauce I can say it’s one of the best I’ve had, Taco Bell always had suck hot sauce, it was basically hot seasoned vinegar…
But if you’re ever near a Chipotle, you have to try it!
This is my second time back in Yellowstone, and yet it still feels like the first time. There is just so much sight seeing to take in! I went on an absolute hayday taking pictures, and I still haven’t even scratched the surface of its true beauty.
When leaving Yellowstone we were greeted by this piece of ass:
Of course the scenery is all fine and good, but the real reason to visit Wyoming isn’t for the Tetons or even Yellowstone, but rather to pay visitation Wyoming’s Sacred Shrine:
This Big Boy Statue sits alone in a field in Wyoming just outside of the town of Cody, and nobody knows how it fucking got there.
It was smoky going through the Tetons today, but I still managed to snap a pic. There was also a glacier that I wanted to grab, but the smoke claimed that one even moreso:
Tomorrow’s next destination will be Yellowstone… so expect more nature porn. 😛
Traveled through Idaho today. It’s been very warm, summery weather for the entire trip so far.
While traveling, our eyes immediately were drawn to this mountain of numbers. I’m guessing local graduates have a tradition of covering the mountain with their graduation year, and if that’s the case this goes waaaaaaaaay back.
We made it to Wyoming this evening. Tomorrow we’ll be making our way to our next destination: Yellowstone. I didn’t get as many pictures as I liked last time, now I’ll have a couple of days to make up for it.
The cats have been taking travel well. Think I’m ready to follow suit.
The first leg of this journey has been surprisingly smooth! I played a bit of Hollow Knight, but mostly enjoyed the scenery outside. I nodded off a couple times and had to pull myself out of an alternate universe a couple times.
Tomorrow’s Target: Idaho
I’m 98% packed and ready to go! I also tested a lot of low demand games to see how they would perform (don’t want anything to crash on launch). I have a little over a hundred in titles to keep me busy, if I feel the need to. I have the tablet ready to tackle other hobbies too, if for some reason I need to quickly edit a photo or a recording I’m prepared for that too. I’m actually kind of interested in how long it would take to render on a Surface Pro 6. I would be plugged into the car, so power wouldn’t be an issue. If it’s as painful as I think it is I will at least have my gaming laptop when we’re in the hotels. I could edit the files on the tablet and then pull them over to the laptop to render.
I suppose I should attempt to do that thing called sleep.
The good news is that I finished putting the video together! The bad news is that in doing so I’ve uncovered a problem during editing; the video is too fucking short. The third Bayonetta video is about two and a half minutes total in length after editing out excess footage. This leaves me with no choice but to shelve the project until some other conditions are met first. That doesn’t mean the video is dead or anything, but it won’t be releasing this year. But hey, there are already the first two next month plus one on November (and hopefully December if I don’t go too insane).
