I’m thinking I’ll have another video complete to go by tomorrow evening… for October. 😛 I did a lot of rendering and compositing tonight; tomorrow I’ll focus on assembling for one final export… until I start on the production of Bayonetta Part 3. 😛
The Joy Of Memes
I was talking with a co-worker and good friend about some Bob Ross figurines we received in freight this morning. He didn’t realise that Bob Ross has become such a meme, or that he has his own Twitch. I even introduced him to the sheer idea of Bob Ross in the universe of Fallout 4:
It’s so unusual and interesting to me that a talented artist, who passed back in 95 would go on to be remembered by people — to the point of having people at the end of a Joy Of Painting episode in Twitch Chat go “gg Bob”, or even touch other parts of the world in ways that he’ll never know.
I don’t think he could have foreseen how far his own legacy would go. He passed away just as the internet was in its infancy; if he lived to see his own YouTube and Twitch channels he would have been 78 at the time of writing this. Imagine him living to actually communicate with everyone telling him gg, or witnessing that he is officially someone’s cosplay character.
I actually wouldn’t mind visiting this alternate timeline.
Evening Open Thread
It was nice to have the sun wake me up this morning, and to wake up to some leftover breakfast quinoa and multiple cups of tea throughout the day. I’m all refreshed and ready to take on another stress inducing week head first. I was even productive today and finished rendering the first part of the second part of my Bayonetta video project! I’ll start on the second part tomorrow night and see how far I can get on that little adventure.

Getting Myself Out There
I did a livestream finally! I didn’t really say much during said stream, but I’m glad I finally did one, and the video quality was excellent. I haven’t decided if I’ll do another one tomorrow, or if I’ll jump back into video making mode. I kinda have a long week ahead of me and I’m leaning towards having a little fun.
One thing I need to do is learn to talk to no one during a stream. I had little to no audience the entire evening, and instinctively I really only talk if someone is around. Perhaps I should think of a list of things to talk about.
Rest Mode Engaged
I wanted to stream some NieR Automata tonight, and I even had the green screen ready to go, but my stomach hasn’t been feeling well since this morning.I still played a bit for my own private enjoyment, of course. I didn’t know this, but apparently by pre-ordering the game that instantly makes it the “Game of the Yohra Edition”, so I just need to buy the additional DLC during a sale and I’ll be good, and maybe NieR Replicant when that comes down in price.
Maybe some rest will cure my stomach, and a good breakfast. I might consider streaming something when I’m more coherent and not so easily nauseated.
Making Progress
I’m thinking I might actually have two videos for October! I’m not sure if I’d be able to fire out all 3 Bayonetta videos by then, but two out of three ain’t bad. I’m thinking I’ll still release the third video, even if I don’t think it’ll be ready on time. I still need to calculate how much animation I’ll be putting into the third installment.
Not gonna lie… I’m half tempted to try and finish the rest of this particular SFM animation tomorrow, but I’ll leave that up to how awake I am and how nice the weather is. Who knows… maybe I can psych myself into doing some form of livestream. I keep meaning to, but it’s always one thing or another…
Mouthwords In Keyboard Form
Survived another day. Couldn’t work on my project until later in the evening, as it was another nice summer day (and I can’t really complain after being a winter wonderland up til recently). I plugged my laptop into the TV while waiting for a phone call, and as a result became immersed in the world of Okami in 4K! It was like watching a vibrant living work of art on full display. Then, when it finally cooled down a little I did get some facial animation taken care of in SFM. It wasn’t much, but if I can complete at least one task on a project that makes me a happy Overlord. I probably won’t have any pictures to share, at least for awhile. It wouldn’t look any different from other previously shared items.
Work & Chill
We had a surprise nice summer day today (aside from some late morning smoke from California), and it was nice enough that I didn’t get to work on any project. Instead I brought my gaming laptop outside and played a bit of AMID EVIL and Overload, it was a bit of a retro-esque evening. Now I’m just chilling on the bed with my linux surface pro, watching the sun slowly set on a somewhat decent summer day.
I might make up for the loss of animation over the weekend, or not… I’m not really at a point where I feel the need to cram.

I don’t have much to write. Survived work, went to my hair appointment, took care of the dishes and some SFM. Just a typical evening for The Overlord, but with slightly less hair. I hope anyone reading this is also having a positive day.

SFM Diary: Platinum Posing
Got a couple things taken care of under SFM today. Animated and exported one scene, and posed another:
Next time I enter SFM it’ll be back to animating mouthwords on my character. I’m not sure if I’ll make much progress on it tomorrow; as I have a hair appointment tomorrow, the first one since COVID, and since I’m vaccinated I see no reason to put it off any longer. I’ll probably still wear a mask though; I kinda wanna see if it helps my nose against those annoying chemical aromas.
Having a sensitive nose sucks.
