The Mind Of OverlordTomala

A Buggy Evening

This section has been a bit buggy (no pun intended, this game has a fair share of bugs). I can make it past this point, but sometimes the enemies don’t always do what they’re scripted to do, like explode. There should be an explosion here…

If I don’t get through this area, at least I have some entertaining footage to go through later.

Feeling Cosmic

Today I decided to tackle the 2nd Episode of Cosmo’s Cosmic Adventure! Another fun one for my Steam Deck

There was a lot of dying on the 2nd level (I’m a snob for trying to get as many stars as possible), but I did make it safely through the wild mushroom jungle. Maybe now that I have it on Steam Deck I’ll finally have some patience to finish it! I’ve already made it farther in Jazz Jackrabbit and Commander Keen than ever, so it only makes sense to add this gem to the roster.

Saturday Indie Arcade!

I gave Sayonara Wild Hearts a full playthrough. It only takes about an hour to play, and it’s pretty easy (unless you’re going achievement hunting, that will add on a little extra replay value). The game features a kickin’ soundtrack that becomes easy to lose myself in. You start out skateboarding, then surfing on a tarot card, and eventually you’re sword fighting, riding motorcycles and shooting lasers. In a small amount of time you can do so much!

Afterwards I decided to revisit the Whisker Squadron Survivor Demo that I picked up during the last NextFest. They’ve been pushing regular updates to the game, adding in new features. I spotted some new powerups and a different enemy. All good things to discuss in a future post! 😛

Deep Weekend Thoughts of Thoughtfulness

Tonight was a bit of a self care night. Extra private spa care, a new tea to drink, aromatherapy, etc. I made a shopping list for tomorrow, it’s my weekend and I’m loading up on the good stuff. Lots of fruits for a healthy weekend. I tried a little bit of Sayonara Wild Hearts, totally adding it to my Deck.

I’ll be back to talk more on that later, after some sleep and a few more rounds.

My Gothic Weekend Comes To A Close

Played more BloodRayne 2 in between Desktop and Steam Deck today, it was just too nice to do all my gaming indoors. I destroyed the Shroud Tower, and I sacrificed a bunch of vampires to a sacred helicopter.

I’ve ground away at it enough that I’ll probably visit some other games before returning to it – most likely something silly, and possibly modded. 😛
