Mostly spent today working on my holiday shopping. It’s a little bit different this year since I’m not buying anything from Amazon, they’re currently on my shit-list, among a few other places. I’ve instead been going directly to websites for the products that I would buy through Amazon and paying them directly.
So far I’ve stayed away from Amazon since last January. It’s a choice I made, a choice I’m proud of, and so far I haven’t had a reason to go crawling back to them. Earlier in the year I bought a headset directly from Audio-Technica, but went to their website directly and bought it. I’ve also been buying my tea directly from the tea manufactures.
Does it hurt Amazon that I’m doing this? Nah, but I do feel better not contributing to another one of Bezo’s dick ships . Maybe if he paid his employees worth a damn instead of playing billionaire astronaut I’d reconsider. Until then I’ll take my money elsewhere, and he can go suck an orange toad.
