YouTube has graciously made the mistake of giving me a tool that will allow me to better communicate with my audience! Or whatever you want to call people that watch my content. Either way I might actually make some use of it. Every time I reload the screen it offers a suggestion on what to post, this in itself could make for an interesting game.
The good news is that I finished putting the video together! The bad news is that in doing so I’ve uncovered a problem during editing; the video is too fucking short. The third Bayonetta video is about two and a half minutes total in length after editing out excess footage. This leaves me with no choice but to shelve the project until some other conditions are met first. That doesn’t mean the video is dead or anything, but it won’t be releasing this year. But hey, there are already the first two next month plus one on November (and hopefully December if I don’t go too insane).
Yesterday was best spent extracting audio for the next part of the Bayonetta project, and it’s looking to be a three parter, with a long animation process. I don’t think I’ll have them all done by October. I’ll revisit them after the next two video projects I have lined up. I’ve already begun setting the stage:
I’m still in the early stages of setting up the scene. I have no plans to add animations to the Borderlands 2 video, but I want to throw in an ending like I did for the Portal 2 video. I’m thinking either late August at the soonest, or November depending on how long it takes to finish the video from animation to the video editing itself. I’m optimistic enough to think that it won’t take me too long, and if not? good things come to those who wait.
I’m almost done animating the hologram/codec call in AE. I just have some other tweaks to perform to it, possibly add another layer on top of a couple of points, then I’ll have something to render. I’ve forgotten how fun it is to play around in After Effects. It makes me wish there was something available in Open Source software…
I’ll have to sit down one of these evenings to see if there is something that could give AE a run for its money. I never use Premiere Pro anymore, and Photoshop is getting less use thanks to Krita. The less Adobe I use the less I have to use Windows. 😛
Stage 2 of the project is done! I’ve rendered my work from yesterday, compiled it in Shotcut, and tomorrow I’ll play with it a bit more in Shotcut and probably After Effects, maybe even Krita if I can squeeze it in. It’ll be something to look forward to tomorrow after a long day of tolerating the intolerant.
After doing a good job of releasing one video per week for almost two months I’ve found myself needing to take a break. I have stuff that I need to put out, but it’ll require further polishing and analysis before getting to a point of release… unless some miracle happens where I find something to upload, such as cat porn. :morty: I’ll be sure to continue making regular posts, would have done one yesterday but was stuck in bed for most of the day. :rick:
Oh, forgot to add there might be a chance of me streaming. :v:
