My Time Off Therapy Continueth

It’s been a nice chill kind of day, evening now… in both weather and in vibes. I set another virtual stage for a future video, brain stormed some story ideas with Yutram, and we even went on a trip to Egypt tonight!

At one point we had two strangers join us, but they both ducked out before we made it to The Great Pyramid. As usual we had a wonderful time!

Other than that I FINALLY got some packages today for myself, and for a friend’s care package I’ve been waiting to box up. 🙂 I’ll probably finish that up either tonight or tomorrow. I can’t say what I got for my friend, but I did get myself some new teas! I found a Hawaiian Earl Grey that sounded intriuging. Plus a grapefruit jasmine. I haven’t tried them yet, it’s been a vanilla coconut white tea kind of day. Thanks to my time off I’m starting to feel energized! I even made a super important poll over at Mastodon!

Or something…

Spooky Serious Sam Sunday!

When it comes to Halloween, you damn well KNOW I’M SERIOUS!

It’s Spooktober! Easily the best time of year IMO – a fine time to indulge in eldritch horror, candy and costume ideas. For the first day of Spooktober, Yutram (aka the one with the almost unreadable name) and I decided to play with some mods for Serious Sam BFE! We wandered the Spooky Land Of Evil Creatures, and yeah… as far as the enemies go it lives up to its name.

This alien enjoys his pumpkin spice a tad bit much methinks.

The Spooky Land of Evil Creatures is a five level custom campaign that is graphically basic in design, but features Halloween clad enemies and a fun challenge! You start off with just melee but gradually find more weaponry and ammo along the way. There’s even a final boss battle!

NYEH!

Overall, I would rate this campaign a 4 out of 5 Pumpkin Spice Chais. It uses a nice selection of music from other games (credited on the workshop page), and the basic graphics can be forgiven for the combat and Halloween decor.

All eyes are upon us.

For the Month of October I will be focusing my precious game time on the spooky parts of my library. Potentially clean the cobwebs off of certain game titles, and maybe even investigate some new ones! There’s plenty of potential for Halloween modding the games that will allow, and spooky single player games as well!

Right… This Happened

Let’s see… I got to play Jenga with shipping containers, kill a bunch of aliens, meet with a contact that got blown up by aliens, continued to blow up more aliens, found a MECH WITH A CHAINSAW!!!! then I killed even more aliens. Rinse, repeat.

Overall, a productive evening.

Also, as an added bonus:

Getting Serious With My Thumbnails

It’s been a quiet Sunday. Relaxed and read in bed, did a little Steam Decking, drank hot chai, got some rendering and animating done, and slapped together a picture for this Friday’s video! We’re doing #SeriousSam mixed with #TF2! Just need to doctor it up a bit in #Krita and it’ll be good to go!

Feelin’ Hawt Hawt Hawt

It was one of those rare Saturday evenings where the planets aligned long enough to do a little multiplayer! We played a bit of Serious Sam Fusion, got some achievo’s and even had a stranger join in on the fun! It’s one of those FPS’s that’s next to impossible to find assholes in. We played on Mental difficulty with infinite ammo, it was a literal blast! It’s a good thing we didn’t turn out deaths into a drinking game, or we wouldn’t have lived to take our final shots.

A Seriously Good Day

Today’s lunch break was seriously fun. I played Serious Sam! On the ride home from work I decided to test my skills at playing with the gyro enabled in the car, and uhhhhh, yeah… I don’t recommend it. I’ll have to try disabling the gyro, or stick with other game genres.

I also made time to go through some more video footage involving a similar topic! 😛 I’ll be adding this vid to the December lineup! As nice as it is making these short montages. Tomorrow I’ll go over an old L4D2 stream to see if there are any nut-worthy moments.
