The 30 seconds of video I commented about in yesterday’s post magically turned into a bout 30 minutes! There should be a few videos I can make from that, one of them being a special kill compilation of my magical blade in action! I had fun revisiting this recording, it was one of my all time favorite streams! So much happened in five hours, and at least a fraction of it might be worth looking at! It took me pretty much the entire evening to sift through it, enough that I’ll revisit it on another day. I think I’ll take a break from making goofy shit to focus on other goofy shit – have to keep it versatile or things go stale.
Shotcut
It Is Done
After over 6 months of toying with it, this video is a done deal! Just need to come up with a thumbnail for the video, but I’m finally done! It’s a load off my chest AND my Hard Drive. Now I’ll have to see what my next visual victim will be! I might troll my hard drives tomorrow to see what the next project will be. Maybe something with slightly less animation? :v I might see if there’s anything good in the Serious Sam Footage Dept.
It’s All Starting To Add Up!
Downloaded the latest version of Shotcut. I figured it would be a good idea before getting too invested in the project. I’m slowly stitching it all together, and feeling all kinds of awesome at the timeline growing larger and larger with all my crazy keyframing all coming together into an act 6 months in the making from audio recorded a few years ago. I have four minutes of animation so far! It’ll be cool to see what the final number will be, not that I expect people to watch every minute of it (or just a few seconds). Those who do though? I hope they enjoy the ride.
More Entertainment This Weekend!
If everything goes according to plan I should have this up to view by the weekend! I’m rendering the animations now, and I also have the video thumbnail good to go. I just need to drop in the ending, export, and call it good!
Meanwhile, as everything falls into place; I’ve been combing my hard drives for more video footage to adventure through! I’ve already deleted a few hundred gigs of GMod footage that I won’t be needing (the audio wasn’t setup correctly). I still have a couple hundred gigs of GMod footage to go through, but that’ll have to wait for another day… I’m starting to look at my Serious Sam footage with intrigue, although I already tossed a little over 100GB of video for that.
That just means I’ll have more storage for later. 😀
Somewhere… In The Overlord’s Imagination
Yesterday was best spent extracting audio for the next part of the Bayonetta project, and it’s looking to be a three parter, with a long animation process. I don’t think I’ll have them all done by October. I’ll revisit them after the next two video projects I have lined up. I’ve already begun setting the stage:
I’m still in the early stages of setting up the scene. I have no plans to add animations to the Borderlands 2 video, but I want to throw in an ending like I did for the Portal 2 video. I’m thinking either late August at the soonest, or November depending on how long it takes to finish the video from animation to the video editing itself. I’m optimistic enough to think that it won’t take me too long, and if not? good things come to those who wait.
Evening Open Thread
The project is finally coming together! My animated scenes have been added; tomorrow I’ll focus on the audio, credits, intro, etc. Now, the question is how many of these items will I actually be capable of crossing off? 😛
I Can Finally Share Something
I did some re-rendering in Shotcut today to pre-render certain elements into the hologram (text and some other filters) to save time and resources while working in AE. I’ll continue work on it in a day or two…
It’s been a long day, and I’m in need of a little R&R.
That Was Quick
Stage 2 of the project is done! I’ve rendered my work from yesterday, compiled it in Shotcut, and tomorrow I’ll play with it a bit more in Shotcut and probably After Effects, maybe even Krita if I can squeeze it in. It’ll be something to look forward to tomorrow after a long day of tolerating the intolerant.
Getting My Groove Back
I’ve got all my ducks in a row for work tomorrow; clothes are ready, morning iced tea is brewed, the awesome tablet is ready to join my gaming laptop for tomorrow’s adventures! Now I’m just having some raspberry pink moscato, along with the last bit of raspberry tea in my pot … lotta raspberry beverage stuff going on and I didn’t plan for that. 😛
I did get some audio work done for the upcoming Bayonetta video; shaved the animation audio down to over two minutes, and there are plans in the works for another “special” ending. I have the audio imported into two SFM sessions… I know I probably say this on every single one of these projects, but I’ll be doing a few different things that I haven’t done before. 😛 I’m sure there will be a few happy accidents along the way, but that’s how learning goes with these things. I’m sure I’ll be here bitching about it if I run into any problems. :v
I’m Seeing A Light At The End Of The Tunnel
Today was a good day! I pieced together footage, trimmed a little here and there, recorded a line with someone, etc. I might have something done by the end of the week (emphasis on might). 🙂 When I post it will be a whole other story.
I’ll start on audio cleanup tomorrow, then the credits, then one last SFM thing. 😛
