Twitchbound

I’ve been experimenting with Twitch streaming over the last couple of days, if you haven’t noticed I’ve even built a Twitch streaming page into my blog. I’m going to experiment a bit more, but overall I think I have it all ready for the most part. I did a long Skyrim stream for a couple friends (I even made a logo!), one of them buffered a bit and the other viewed it ok. I’d like to stream at 60fps if possible. I have the equipment to do so, just need to use one computer to stream and the other to game. Not hard to do. I’ll also try to set my stream to 1080p instead of 720p. I won’t go any lower than 720…

I do wish Twitch used HTML5 instead of Flash for video… : I had to reinstall flash so I could see what I was doing.

Open Thread

Yesterday I was too busy/tired to write anything. My main job wiped my ass out, and after work I went over to the doc’s office to take care of their SSL certs. I’ll be heading over there again next week to discuss other things involving the site, and also I’ll be doing some photography for them. They wanted to take pics of the offices using a smartphone, I volunteered my camera for the job. It has more megapixels. 😛

Then when I got home I played around a bit in Skyrim and made dinner. We had a nice chicken potato curry, and there’s lots of leftovers which will ensure that I’ll have plenty of food for work. 😛

So today I decided to relax instead with the usual activities. I’ve been following the Path Of The Druid quest and gained the ability to become an ice wolf.

There are other abilities I can obtain, like fire and earth. Right now I just think it’s funny being able to shapeshift into an ice breathing wolf at will. 😛

Oh, and I had a scary occurrence.

This is my second time playing through the Queen Potema quest, and the last time I played it I had this weird bug where the Ritual Master wouldn’t leave her summoning animation despite seeing me. Here I am doing it again and nothing has changed:

I forgot that I purchased a “gun” in the Wheels Of Lull questline I think? It’s either that or Dwemertech… I had it loaded with electric bolts, really packs a punch even with regular ones. 😛

Now I have a new thing to find (like pretty much the rest of everything I’ve installed), a TARDIS. Should be fun when I find it. 😛

Feels like summer

Enjoying a hot summer like day today. Haven’t even been to my desktop today due to the nice weather. I’ve mainly been bumming it on the laptop today, it’s slightly more portable and runs cooler. 😛 I even made time for a small bit of Skyrim.

But I figured wasting all my time at the computer today on a day like this would be flat out wrong… so I went for a walk and took some pictures of flowers and trees at one of the local parks.

I also went out and got some salad ingredients to go with the BBQ’d steak we’re having tonight. Got some tomatoes, Stilton blue cheese and a nice leafy mix… Now I just need to think of a good vinaigrette to make. I’m thinking maybe a balsamic one.

The animals didn’t give me any trouble thanks to one of the blessings I received in the Levelers Tower. So I was able to walk and stand along side bears, wolves, spiders etc. I only had to kill Spriggians and bandits. 😀

All dressed up to hunt eggs! Oh, and stab people.

Decided to celebrate Easter by going into Skyrim, putting some bunny ears on, then go looking for eggs in the Levelers Tower.

I’ve also been decorating the place with all the weapons and armor I’ve found… Everything is still kinda bare, but that shouldn’t take too long if I keep adventuring.

Adventuring through the Wheels of Lull

I’ve discovered the Wheels of Lull. It’s additional content for Skyrim that adds more quests, custom NPC’s with excellent voice work, and kind of a tech theme to it. Not to mention custom weapons and armor. Check out what I’ve obtained:

A bath to die for

Played Skyrim during my lunch break today, because that’s what normal PC Master race types do when they’re forced to take an hour to eat :v. I’m on the same character as my desktop version, but I’ve been taking different paths and making different choices. I finally got into Solitude to watch the execution. Only it wasn’t an execution… It didn’t execute.

Some of them were stripped down to their loin cloths and were left in a stupor. When I spawned the bath-house there is a little basket where you can leave your clothes while you take your bath. Apparenly a couple of the NPC’s not only left their clothes in the basket, but their weapons and scripted death as well. 😛 Had to reload that save. Now when I return I can rekindle my lost bond with corpse buddy. 😀

Sometimes Skyrim can be funny.

I love it when weird things happen in Skyrim. Especially when it’s things that aren’t supposed to happen in the first place. 😛 But several mods later things are bound to happen, right? Like that one time my good friend Bandit Marauder died and I got his inheritance:
