Ruining It For Everyone Else Since 2004
Sifted through what seems to be my eternal collect ion of Skyrim videos, and got almost an entire two minutes of footage harvested from an almost two hour livestream… hooray!…? I’m transferring another Skyrim livestream over to my video editing SSD for the next time I have time to hack n slash some footage. Heck, I might even go over it tomorrow after work to make up for yesterday’s lost time.
For better judgement, I’ll have to sleep on it. 😛
There I was… Enjoying some cocoa and sifting through some video footage (as is tradition) when suddenly I reach a point where I can export a video! I went back to some more of the Skyrim footage, and fashioned together a small montage of crazy moments from one of the livestreams. Sadly this is another video without any animation, but I’m ok with going classic for this one! Then there was the NieR footage, and looking that over again I didn’t see much to really animate… so I finished that one up too! Two more videos added to the massive lineup!
Despite all of the posts I’ve been making about the Steam Deck, I’ve actually been going through quite a bit of footage! I have several videos lined up to release all the way thru now and October! Within just the last couple of night’s I’ve managed to rid my storage of over 400GB! I can almost fit my footage onto one drive! I might get to a point where I feel like livestreaming someday!
Today at lunch I decided to be a cat. I have Stray setup to play, and get some more achievements. 😛 Did some Broforce a bit earlier too, it isn’t rated for the Steam Deck, but it is Linux compatible. Playing these old games on it makes me think back to my old GBA. If anything, the Steam Deck is what the five year old me would have loved; a portable hand held that could play DOOM or Jazz Jackrabbit would have been siiiiiiiiiiiiiick.
I’ve also been taking a bit of a walk down Memory Lane, and ended up finding content for some TF2 videos! Unlike last night’s video these ones will be nothing but gameplay, just a good time. The unsuspecting internet will just have to wait until October for more questionable animation. 😛
I spent today doing some physical and digital housekeeping. My videos now mostly fit on just two hard drives! I compiled two small Shantae videos for next month! I didn’t mean to — it just sort of happened when going through the footage.
Of course, there was a little time left at the end of the evening to play a little bit of Yakuza 0. I even found a quest that I missed the first time around! It involved protecting Miracle Johnson aka Michael Jackson from “zombies”. Somehow I get the feeling that I’ll be seeing him again sometime in the not too distant future.
Spent the evening wading through Skyrim footage, and finding possibilities! I have 45 minutes left to cut through; by tomorrow evening I should have a better idea of what will go into the next, next video. Until then I’ll just have to put some of mah sweet rolls up on display, uh-hut!
I got through this a lot faster than expected. All trimmed down, one small bit of animation, and just enough editing to make it into something somewhat worth sharing. I should also have enough for a second video, but that one might take a bit longer. 😛 That’ll give me an excuse to release the smaller videos in the meantime! There will at least be some activity planned for a little while. 😀

It was a fun walk down memory lane this evening in Shotcut, the Skyrim footage is proving to be quite promising! So far I have almost two hours worth of footage cut down to a little over half an hour, with another fifteen minutes of it to chop up before doing a second pass at it. Unlike the three videos I pumped out this week, this one looks like it’ll require more attention in the animation dept. There is a tidal wave of ideas flowing through my brain right now; I’m overwhelmed with horrifying imagination between what transpired on screen, and what I have in SFM assets.

Another evening passes, and another video has been rendered! I had to scrap the footage for Abyss Odyssey, but I did find enough footage for a small Quake Champions video! I’m thinking of keeping the Bethesda streak and continuing onward tomorrow by looking through some Skyrim footage, it’s been awhile since I’ve done anything with Skyrim… and I have an eternity’s worth of footage to sort through. In this case it’s only Session 2 of 45. I’ll save this for a day where my eyes are slightly less tired.
Not only did I finish up the Yakuza vid – I also put together a mini compilation from some old Serious Sam footage I took back in 2018! It’s a short simple video, but it has some fun moments in it. Damn, it’s nice to be getting through so much footage after all this time! I’m going to sort through footage of Abyss Odyssey tomorrow to see if there’s anything worth keeping, that one I’m not entirely sure about. I remember recording the footage for that when Steam Remote Play was recently released.
