Saturday Night Open Thread

Today was absolutely stressful. No stupid people but very busy… Glad to be home with candles, tea and shit to shoot.

Day 2 of my red challenge. Got a red long sleeved shirt on and a red kimono to come later into the evening. Tomorrow I have some red earrings and a red sweater.

Tonight’s candles are cucumber melon, and a soy candle I wanted to try that smells like mandarin oranges and lavender. As for tea I have white tea with white peach. Dinner is pizza.

Now it’s time to read the stuff on my RSS (Really Stupid Shit) feed.

Well today I learned that temperature makes all the difference. I put boiling hot water over one of the numi tea flower balls I purchased and it bloomed very quickly into a beautiful flower. I just took it out of it’s strainer and dumped it into the pot to expose the buds. Looks real nice. Has to be the Freshest oolong I’ve ever tasted.

Today was yet another stormy day. I made a Japanese Omelet and had a low cal Thai soup on the side. Decided to try some Green tea with pomegranate. Good stuff.

Got a gold on one of the L4D survival maps 😀 That made me happy. I think I’ve been playing it a tad much lately because I’m having dreams about it too. I’d rather not go into detail about the latest one though.

Well, my hair is once again Super Special Awesome. During my walk there and back I saw the damage the storm did. The bowling alley sign collapsed and fell on the sidewalk, and some fences have been ruined. I’m surprised that our street managed to stay in tact.

So then I did a little cooking today, some egg flower soup, some stir fry and noodles and a healthy salad. All packed with the best flavors I could find. And beverage of choice had to be that green tea jasmine flowering tea. Man that stuff is good (though it can be described as a perfume like tea). Got 2 good brews out of it.

I played some L$D2 tonight, got Gold on the mall survival map. We used the grenade launcher to propel 3 people up to the 4th floor and hid where the tanks couldn’t get us. It was fun.

Ahh, back to stuff.

It was dark and gray today. I didn’t even feel like going for a walk even though I was dressed to. I mostly relaxed today. Looked at a real cool map for gmod, it’s a real nice mountain village. I’m thinking that’s where my next movie will take place. Something about 4 people vacationing there and stumbling upon something mysterious. At this point it’s just an idea . I still need to work on the plot. When it comes to the equipment though I have that all set.

I tried the lavender tea today. It was good. Had a very interesting flavor. The taste of lavender, white tea and hibiscus brewing into one flavor was good to the palate. So far though I have to say my favorite is the green tea jasmine combo.

I have a complaint. I bought some tangerine orange zinger tea the other day and went to try it. The teabag I had was defective. I knew this because when the tea brewed, it came out in a pinkish rose color. So I made another batch, and it wasn’t orange either! After 5 more tries… I came to the conclusion that the entire box was defective.

So I went and bought another box and tried again. SAME THING.

Word to the wise. I think someone sabotaged the tangerine orange tea supply.

It’s true… My friends, my family, and even many strangers know about my addiction to pot. I was introduced to a little green friend when I was 8 years old at Christmas time. And since then it has evolved into something wild with many colors from all over the world.

Meet the twin pots. One doesn’t have a lid due to me forgetting to hold the handle while pouring a cuppa one day, it broke and now the twins share one lid. I use them whenever I feel like having American or British tea.

My valentine teapot and cup for one. For when I don’t feel like having a giant pot of tea but still want some all to myself! I use it year round since I’ve been known to have a loving mood from time to time. I love me after all.

This is my winter teapot and cup for one. I only use it during the winter season, because it would be weird using it during the spring and summer.

Meet Mr Elephant. I use her whenever I want chai. And yes, it’s a her. I checked.

This one only gets used during the month of December, why? Because I have so many other teapots. And they all have to be on a strict teapot schedule.

And here we have a giant teapot from Japan and a baby teapot from China with it’s best friend the baby teacup! I haven’t had a chance to use the tiny one yet, but the big one gets plenty of use whenever I want green or white tea.

And finally, my latest teapot for my oriental collection. It’s a beauty.
