Someone made a very good post over at the MOUL forum that I thought I’d share.

My lesson today was, there is good IC, and then there is IC that we ignore for our own personal goals such as running the guilds and telling people how to play with their toys.

I find this to be good information, as I am the head honcho of the Guild Of Guilds. Which is why I can sympathize with people like Alahmhat who want to run their own kingdom. Except as leader of the GOGU, I AM entitled to running everyone’s “kingdom”. All these people made their guilds and are getting whatever they want, therefore I see no problem with telling any of the guilds to report to me on all their activity, give me membership clothing to each group, all chatlogs of their own special meetings, you know… So I can print it out when I run out of toilet paper that I keep at my desk (so I can wipe my face after reading the MOUL forum) and all the other guild things that I should know.

I am the overlord of this community (sorry peeps but I called it), so I should be treated like one by ALL social groups. 😛

I’m a simple person, with simple ideals. And I have a suggestion to add to the MOUL forum after reading and pondering.

I saw a couple people complaining at another person for talking about Second Life on a forum that is about MOUL. They couldn’t be more right, which is why I propose banning discussions of any other kind of game, it has to be about MOUL and MOUL only. And by MOUL I mean just MOUL, no offline Uru, no first prologue, no ALCUGS, and obviously not UU.

MOUL is the only thing worthy talking about.

Yay the albino titan beezledrop. Having lay with the detached uterus of a flaming dairy cow knew he faced great danger until his great great great great grandson Dildor was born to save the universe. Yay said the flylord and his brethren were mind readers. Beezledrop was forced to hide from his own mind. As beezledick beclouded a half albino half titan who spoken gibberish and did not know his own greatness. In this form he would await his final destiny.

I thought I could put on a brave face, but truth is I (selectively) miss Uru and really wish it was online right now. It’s super depressing knowing there is no way and I mean NO WAY to get to the cavern once again. MO:RE was our only hope and now that’s put off until who knows when. No going to ages with friends, no city marker runs, no neighborhood dance offs. It would be great to get to the (correct) Uru again, I (selectively) miss it so much. 🙁

Today was another fun filled day. We walked the streets and went to bazaars and stores plus played at the beach again. We got to see people offer to put parrots on your arm so you can have your spouse take a picture, then CHARGE you money for taking a picture of the parrot with your own camera… No, I didn’t fall for it. I found better things to spend my money on. There are going to be some happy people getting some mementos when I return from my trip.

I’m posting this because you never see signs like this back at home.

And before PB and I went back to our hotel room, we caught part of a luau.

Good news everyone! PB and I made it to Honolulu in one piece! The only bitch was having both flights delayed. The one to SanFran by about an hour, and the one from SanFran to Honolulu at around 2 hours… But we managed to survive both flights and I didn’t have to put beaver tranquilizer into PB during the 2nd flight. Though it was touch and go for awhile.

After we checked into our fabu hotel, we went straight for the ocean! Water is very nice here. Only problem is wireless is crappy… I had to pay to get an internet connection to get in touch with family back home because even the cell phone isn’t getting good reception… Sigh.

ZOMG!!! They serve GREEN TEA here!!!!! Oh and dinner was good. For desert one of the things you could get at the buffet was chocolate orange cheese cake. Tasted like a jaffa cake mmmmm.

You know what else is funny? Over here there are no Spanish subtitles for anything. If it isn’t printed in English, it’s printed in Japanese. Strangely enough there are lots of skinny people over here too!

Tomorrow PB and I have plans to go shopping, swimming and other fun stuff. I’ll post the pic of PB I have in teh meter room.

Patience is a virtue

Look Cyan is promising us a game, now all we have to do is wait. That’s part of their plan, and instead of doing anything to compromise that ultimate goal, I suggest we be patient until MORE comes.

This is the attitude we need to survive! It’s not about keeping interest. it’s waiting for the actual thing to come to life. So we lose a few people in the process who get tired of waiting… I call that thinning the herd!!! MORE asshats for the cavern!

I agree! As a loyal, Rand-Fearing Cyantologyst, I demand that you stop posting this heresy! UU never existed! It has been erased from history by the great GreyDragon! Any attempt to resurrect that abomination to Rand (that does not exist) must DIE!

He did not have to mention hacking… all he had to say is “we have the Ability to run a uu server, all we need is permission to to it”

Besides, this is a very fickle community that selectively attacks threads they don’t like (you all should be ashamed)… Just 2 threads down we have a topic on hacking ABM to see the un-relrased content, and not one peep out of the anti-hack members. So uh… can you all just shut up until you make up your damn minds about what “hacking” really is?

Simple. It’s whatever you want it to be. And single player doesn’t count because it’s not online. Duh… Though give it time and eventually we’ll have people moderating that too.

Some of these quotes are from page two of the latest thread that was removed. That was the only page I saved. Certain blogs and forums who believe in that damned free speech thing they are still talking about it.

You know, I’d almost protest MORE because age creation IS hacking. But with Cyan involved that makes it ok in my book.

With the opening of MORE, the DRC will be in absentia. While some independent restoration groups (Third Path and SubRest come to mind) have historically operated out of the way of the DRC, the current situation could present an opportunity for an usurping of control. OOC, storytellers working on this theme could team up with a Writer or two to produce some small new D’ni areas. New areas would be released as under the “control” of a new (and more antagonistic) restoration company that has decided to move in while the DRC are away. This group could limit access to the new areas to some explorer groups as a political maneuver (OOC, planned with these groups’ involvement, so no explorer is really being prevented from visiting and playing).

Now see, I was considering selling all OOC people into slavery. But I actually like this idea. In all seriousness, we could call it Operation Epic Fail, if the idea works, then we can call the DRC failures while the community helps Cyan succeed. If MORE itself fails. Then, this time around it would be an epic fail. This could go both ways!
